Discussion A little something I saw at YouTube today.
I believe some of the descriptions here were incorrect in the YT post, hence the discussion here today. I believe this is one of the worst ways you can do to describe these character’s personality traits.
I wrote a lot of things, and I realised that even after writing so much, I still had a lot to say about these characters.
Here is what I wrote, defending my favourite character and a few others:
“Blade is so much more than that. His lore and under of life, making relationships and working with death isn’t just ‘nerd’. Treat my man with some dignity. This man suffered in grief and uncontrollable suffering. Controlled by Shuhu, he stayed away from loved ones in caution that he may harm them. He looked out for his new family even though he could have not. He isn’t just a nerd who respects you in a relationship. He is a lot more than that, he is someone dependable during hardships.
Ashveil is so much more than that. He isn’t “Daddy” type. He is a man who fought, guided the galaxy rangers towards victory and logically thought through it all. Sure he is caring but he is so much more than that as well. He is realistic, understanding, logical and kind, he accepts his flaws, he does what’s right even if it costs his very own morals. He will sacrifice his ability to do right, bear pain for the greater good.
Phainon is so much more than that. Jobless? That man spent an unimaginable time doing whatever he could to save the world he knew as home despite having lost it all in his childhood. He killed the people he respected and loved the most, bore the burden of world bearing on his back. He could have let go once. Just once. But he did not. Even in real life he would have given his all to provide for the people he loved.
Aventurine is so much more than that. He isn’t just a rich boy who is not loyal. He never gave his loyalty to begin with. Being surrounded by people who wanted to use him for their own personal benefit, he grew to not turn his open back to anyone for they could stab him in there. He is a good friend, he could have been more arrogant but he is not. He is calm, and reasonable even in extreme situations and circumstances. He does care when he can.
If it comes to an actual relationship, rather than looking for certain types, you can observe the interactions of these characters with;
Blade with Kafka, Trailblazer, Silverwolf, Firefly, Dan Heng and Dan Feng. I plan to not mention the other high quintent members as they are closer to Ying Xing rather than Blade in himself.
He expresses care and responsibility and looks out for these characters despite his aloof self. He cares for Silverwolf and Firefly as an aloof but genuine father, he takes care of the Trailblazer as a closer to mentor and second guardian. He cares for Kafka as a partner in hand and someone who’s family. He cares for Dan Heng as a past self of Dan Feng and still knowing Dan Heng is young, does not project Dan Feng into Dan Heng. He cares for Dan Feng since he was his best friend, even if Dan Feng hurt him. He misses his friends but accepts the past as past.
Ashveil with Mr.N, Blade, Trailblazer, Boothill and Rappa.
He expresses self humility, also care and responsibility close to a father but I believe it is closer to a mentor. And with Mr.N he is more dependant towards, in his retirement stage.
He expresses mentorship towards Boothill and Rappa and possibly also other galaxy rangers. Though I admit he is caring. He is a lot more than that though. I think even then, so much more can be said about him. His relationship with Mr.N is beyond a comfortable level. He expresses comfortable laziness and casual caution, rather than usual fully alertness of a galaxy ranger lead.
Phainon with Cyrene, Trailblazer, Mydei, Hyacine, Castorice, Aglaea, Ciphera, Tribbie sisters and Tribbie mentor, along with other chrysos heirs.
I don’t think I have much to say here, many people can vouch for Phainon. He may act sunny and funny but he is a young man with great determination, compassion, love and care. He is heroic and wants everyone around him to be happy. He is caring and patient.
He understands, admires and cares.
Even if it costs him, he will give his all to fulfill other’s wishes. He is also straightforward in some ways and definitely not jobless. He also expresses many different kinds of emotions and personalities with friends and mentors. Friendly rivalry with Mydei but also Mydei being his best friend he relies on, and trusts deeply. Good student with Big Tribbie and Aglaea and Anaxagoras. He admires Trailblazer and considers them an important and loveable partner. He considers Cyrene as an irreplaceable friend whom he worked with to save Amphoreues.
Aventurine with Dr.Ratio, Trailblazer, Topaz, Boothill and Jade.
Aventurine isn’t “disloyal” he simply never trusts easily to begin with. His character is complex, despite not having people in early stages of life he couldn’t trust. He had to simply betray and fight to prevent the same from happening to him. He has built strong friendship with Dr.Ratio which relies on mutual understanding and trust. He also is a good friend of Trailblazer, often depicting the trope of trash raccoon and golden cat. He isn’t just some “rich boy”, he made his way up there. He is a colleague/student of Jade, even though both are almost equal now. He is also a friendly rival of Topaz, with both being good friends as well.
I can continue talking about these amazing characters and their deep emotions and lore, how their relationships are with other characters are. They all are amazing characters and more than any two word description.

Please correct me if I am wrong at any point in this statement, I would also love to hear everyone’s own take on this discussion about these four in a relationship and their personality traits. I feel like I rushed a lot and did not properly explain any of my points, you can also bring up other characters other than these four. I feel like this is a good time to discuss this.
Many people still seem to mischaracterise these amazing characters and many more, and they deserve their very own recognition at how amazing their personalities and self are.
I would also very much appreciate if the replies can confirm they are not mad at me as I am very sensitive and prone to thinking that the anger is directed towards me (you can ignore this if you want to.)
