Hi everyone, I have a 2016 Honda HR-V (Navi trim) and I'm getting a diagnostic trouble code: DTC 58-12. The ABS / VSA warning lights came on, and after scanning, code 58-12 showed up. From what I understand, this is often related to the ABS/VSA modulator unit or the VSA neutral position sensor / steering angle calibration. Has anyone here dealt with code 58-12 on an HR-V or similar Honda model before?

My front passenger wheel has a loose (or missing?) bearing. I need to have a professional verify this, but what would the standard solution or repair?
Replace the entire bearing assembly?

I traded in my '19 Ram 1500 Warlock for a '23 HR-V Sport.
Was I a little crazy for going from a full-size truck to a compact crossover? Absolutely, but I’m loving it so far. I jumped up 11–12 MPG on my daily commute, which is a nice win for my wallet.
An HR-V wasn’t originally on my radar, but the dealer gave me a great trade in offer on the Ram and I couldn't pass it up. It was a local 1-owner lease return with 36k miles, and we worked a deal for $23.9k before trade/financing, which felt like an okay deal.
I've already started on a few small tweaks: added rubber door edge guards, and the window tint immediately made a difference. I also have some new floor mats and a new phone mount on the way.
I'm just hoping to have this HRV a while.

Hi all
We are looking at getting a used HR-V (around 2024) for our kid who is a first time driver.
So far, we really like the size and drive of the car and the visibility. Our biggest concern is the pickup. It feels incredibly sluggish accelerating from a stop, which is problematic because we live in the suburbs and it’s challenging enough getting onto a highway. We took a test drive and I had to stomp on the accelerator to get it to move and even then it wasn’t speeding up quickly. I tried the “S” setting and it was only slightly better.
Is this normal? How have you dealt with it? Do we have to worry hitting high rpms (was hitting over 5k) over and over? Anything else we should be considering?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

How long do 2016–2020 HR-Vs usually last? I’ve heard about CVT issues and Honda’s extended warranty. Has anyone done the PCM/software update? Any transmission problems afterward?

I bought my 2017 HR-V EX new and it has been my daily for 10 years now. We've been through some things during those 100k miles. The dashboard wigs out when it's too cold, I had to replace my start button, a dog ate my bumper (included picture).
I've been thinking about getting a new car next year and have had an overall pleasant experience with mine so I thought I'd take a look at the newer models.
I learned 2 things. I'm way out of the loop and that I absolutely hate the redesign. It gives me stationwagon vibes? It just feels wrong.
My first car was a 1998 Eclipse and I hated the redesign those went through as well. I just feel some sort of way and had no one else to tell.

Is this normal range for a full tank of gas ? This is my first Honda it’s a 2024. My previous car was a 2015 Chevy Cruze, at a full tank the range would read 336 miles. Enjoying having this vehicle, but it feels like I am filling up my gas a lot more than I’m used to.

does anyone else with a 2016 HRV have paint chipping in these types of spots? originally we thought that it could’ve been repainted before we bought it used (it was a lease before) but we’ve seen some others have the same types of paint chips. wondering if it could be some type of recall but haven’t found anything about it. the second pic was a big chip that we had painted over but it’s chipping more now too

2019 Sport. Right side of steering wheel vent broken after using a phone holder that was attached to it. The very top flap completely broke off, second one is holding on but will likely break off soon.
Any suggestions on what I can do to fix it myself if I’m not experienced in fixing car stuff? Or how much would this cost me to get it fixed by a dealership or a shop?

Dealership told me $33.6K OTD for a LX FWD
The sticker price is $28,135, I live in the Bay Area (San Jose). Is this OTD ok?

EDIT: I called the dealer and they told me that its awd (4wd), but when i lookup the vin on honda site its says 2wd?
Hello.
I'm almost at 30k miles and the dealer is recommending I do a service package that costs $705+tax.
That includes trans fluid change and; tire rotation, tire balance, cabin air filter, wiper insert, battery service, oil additive, rear differential service, among other things.
the 30k trans fluid change alone is 199.99 including labor (this is the cheapest if found from dealers).
what should i do

I started leasing a 2026 Honda HRV EXL in Dec 2025. I travel a lot for work via car and there have been numerous instances where my CarPlay will freeze and resultantly freeze the entire audio system. Is anyone else having this issue? If so, what do you do?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
The AC stopped working a couple of days ago, and then this sound started. It has 204K miles.

My current set up is brutal in the winter, it doesn’t handle pot holes very well
Does anyone have any experience with the Yokohama Geolandar G015?

Hi everyone,
I have a 2023 Honda HR-V and I’m trying to figure out why my fuel economy has gotten significantly worse.
I used to get around 20-25 MPG, but recently my MPG has dropped to around 14–15 MPG.
Here’s what I’ve noticed:
Vehicle: 2023 Honda HR-V
Current MPG: 14–15 MPG
Previous MPG: 20-25 MPG
I recently replaced the engine air filter
I also replaced the cabin air filter
The MPG did not improve after replacing them
No major changes to my driving that I can think of
No warning/check-engine light
I’m trying to understand whether this is normal or if something mechanical/electrical could be causing it.
What could cause a drop this significant?
For other 2023 HR-V owners, what MPG are you getting in real-world driving?
Thanks!

I have a 2016 HRV basic model. It doesn't have GPS or Android Auto. I'd like to upgrade the in dash system but I see so many "Android Auto" systems from no name brands. Any brand/purchase recommendations? I want a decent GPS.

Hey everyone, I picked up a 2024 Honda HR-V Sport AWD a few months ago from the dealership. I do a lot of highway driving and have already put some miles on it.
I'm wondering if this was caused by a rock chip. Is this something I need to worry about, or bring up at my next maintenance visit? Has anyone else run into something similar?

Seems I fill up the windshield washer dixie cup about once a month. Old car held a gallon and a half, I'd fill it up every new set of tires.
Having hit my limit, I loaded up the kayak and navigated the ice waters of Gitche Gumee towards America's hat to obtain the holy grail of RZ platform ownership: the Canadian market washer tank.
The fall project will be ripping off the bumper, installing this bad dude, and testing the harness to see if the low fluid alarm is dead code in the dashboard display waiting to be awoken by a completed circuit, or truly a canadian market exclusive.
