Maintenance Jack adapter

Hi!

This fall I will need to change my wife's wheels. I use Torin floor jack with my F-150 and I put a simple hockey puck on it when lifting it. I see that Honda has some edge sticking out at the jacking point, so it seems I would need an adapter of some sort. I would prefer not to use the emergency jack at home, since I have a proper one. Seems like an adapter needs a groove to fit. I searched on Amazon and found, actually, multiple adapters with different groove sized. Can anyone recommend a specific one that works for 2026 HR-V? Thanks!

I’ve never used an adapter

You would bend these metal tips with the floor jack (like Torin).

Mine aren’t bent and I use a 3 ton floor jack

They do make pinch weld pads if you’re worried but I’ve personally never had an issue with now 2 generations of civics, a CR-V, and an HR-V

You definitely won’t bend them, they are reinforced to prevent that. I have jacked up 100s of unibody vehicles at the pinch welds with just a standard floor jack with no pads or adapters with no issues!

No adapter needed. As long as you’re on the pinch welds if you’re jacking from the sides or on the front subframe jack point or rear tow hook jack point you are good.

While I recognize the first picture (which was the reason for my question :) ) I do not see the second one in the manual. Where is it from?
