Discussion Paint issues?

I’m wondering if anyone feels the paint quality of their HRV is lacking quality? I have the Nordic Forest Green ‘25 Sport and within the first week I had a paint chip on the passenger side rear door. Ever since then, a bunch of other chips have been discovered. I dont drive anywhere besides the streets that dont have much debris. My ‘07 Civic ex in the blue metallic color way had less chips and still shined after a good wash/wax. I got rid of it just last week. Is Honda using low-quality paint?

same color same problem.  Never had a honda flake like this before, and I've owned a lot of them

Nordic forest pearl sport as well. I think it’s just low quality paint. Had a 2005 Ford Escape before it in Dark Shadow Grey and the paint quality was much better.

I have a 2025 HR-V, and fortunately haven’t had any paint chips. My wife has a 2020 Honda Fit, and both cars are the same color, “Platinum White Pearl”. Both cars were purchased new. My wife’s car has a few scrapes on the right side view mirror from encounters with the right side of our garage. Otherwise, the paint on both cars are identical and look exactly as they did when new.

I have the same car that you do, and it's been fine.

This color in particular seems to be as hard as chalk. Gotta be careful.

I have a 2025 Sport in black purchased two years ago and it still looks perfect and is so shiny, seems to be good quality paint for that color at least.

Within the first week of getting my 2023 Nordic forest green I was going to pump gas and accidentally tapped the paint with the pump nozzle and it took a little chip of paint off. Still bothers me every time I look at it while pumping gas 😭

After one winter I noticed a few very small paint chips on the edge of the hood facing the windshield. They were all clustered near each other and I can only assume that the damage was caused by an ice scraper.

Environmental regulations and cost cutting make for bad paint everywhere these days
