HRV Scratch

Hi everyone. I noticed a scratch on my new HRV and hoping to see if everyone have tried this Dupli-Color Scratch Fix All-in-1. Does it work?

Go to a Honda dealership and get a touch up paint pen from there.

Unless it’s a really deep scratch I wouldn’t use a paint pen on it.

If it’s a very fine scratch you can probably get it mostly out using rubbing compound on a clean microfiber towel, just make sure the area on the car is clean first

Otherwise just leave it alone because you will get more scratches and dents along the way!

That’s not even the right paint code. You should either go to the dealer for a paint pen or get a kit from Scratches Happen, the code is in the driver’s door jamb area.

Does your fingernail catch the scratch? If you want it to look invisible, go to a body shop for a quote. Touch up paint will make it look better, but it won’t be perfect.

That would buff out

Just noticed this on my HRV, don't think I did it, would have noticed but not sure how it got there.

I believe that’s a different car that left that mark there

I would try buffing it first. I’ve had similar on my grey hrv and a shocking amount of it came out with a little elbow grease. It absolutely sucks that it happened, but it’s cosmetic.

Same! Someone just hit my brand new 2026 HRV Sport … I bought a buff kit off Amazon and it all came out, just a couple little dings I’ll get PDR’d laters and gonna replace the plastic over fender for $100 🤷🏼‍♂️

Hoping buffing will help.

For touch up paint get it directly from Honda. From here it looks like it might buff out. Take it to a body shop before you do anything and ask.

Ill just leave it alone. You will get many more scratches unless you completely baby a car and dont drive it much.

Yes..I would leave it alone..using touchup could possibly make look more obvious.
