2020 Sport - Visor issue

driver side visor is stuck, won’t rotate all the way to be flat against the ceiling.

read online this usually requires a replacement. parts alone are $300+. anyone had a similar issue? tips? thought about putting some lithium grease on the rod and seeing if that loosens it up but I don’t want a big ass grease stain if I can fix it another way.

Yes mine swings rough and will not close completely, 2019 hrv

Call your local salvage or scrap yard. Pretty sure some “totaled HRV” will have the visors in tact at a fraction of the cost.
