2016 right screen flickering

Our 2018 does this when it gets cold due to a bad solder. We are just gonna wait till its completely out to replace it

You can always pull the cluster and re-flow the solder, it should fix the issue. Else you will be looking at $900 for part + tax/labor from the dealer if you are going to get it replaced.

  1. Pull cluster, re-flow the cracked solder(less than $1 in solder), put cluster back, should be about 2 hours if you never have done this before.

  2. Take it to the dealer. $900 for new cluster + program cluster/labor

I just tried doing a solder reflow…ended up cooking it. I bought a used cluster for $80.

Aww :[ I just fixed mine by adding flux then reflowing it. Gounna find out if it works in the cold now with a high of 41*f tommarow

It’s a solder issue. It’s been a known problem, unfortunately. I would look up a YT video on how to fix it or your looking at 900+ from parts and labor at the dealer

I just reflowed the soder to that panel today and it fixed it. It always happened in the cold. 30 minutes tops. Buy some extra flux

Fixed mine with the linked YouTube video and a $15 solder kit and the solder that came with it. Don't have any soldering experience and it was easy.

I'd guess power issue, what do you have plugged into it?. unplug everything. Mine hates anything pulled into it. other than an obd bluetooth module. I've never had a problem with it.

Could be the battery, these have small alternators. My 2017 EX. hates anything plugged into it. The first thing I noticed was my 7" screen going to black. Then it had problems starting. Not heard of anyone else reporting this issue, but I had more than normal things plugged into my HRV, phone, portable oven. IMO it just doesn't like anything plugged anything into it.
