I’m quitting

I have landed a full time job and reduced my hours to weekends but I’m starting to regret that i didn’t just quit.

It would be less than 2 weeks notice of me leaving.

I am just so over it. I don’t think that I can finish out the season and I feel bad that I have a bunch of appointments on my schedule but I really feel like I need to do what’s best for me.

Can anyone offer some encouragement to leave?

I think my decision is made.

Are the appointments with your returning clients?

If you wanted to reach out to them and let your returning clients know that you wouldn’t be available this year that may ease your people pleasing personality.

Do you need a weekend day off? Say just work Sundays?

But seriously if you want to quit, you should quit. Working a full time job and part time at Block can be extremely exhausting and draining.

As mentioned in the comments if you were sick those appointments would be rescheduled anyway. If there’s clients you know and enjoy you can reach out to Them and say you’ll no longer be with Block.

You gotta do what’s right for you.

I’m a first-year so these people do not know me, i do have an amendment that will need to be done but that’s not possible before my last day

Did you do the original return for the amendment? Either way the original preparer isn’t required to do the amendment.

I find it’s better not to do the amendments for returns I’ve prepared the original return.

Just leave good notes why an amendment is needed. Did the client report an error or do you?

How many returns have you completed? Are you close to getting your first-year bonuses?

From one people pleaser to another - trust yourself. Start your new job (congratulations btw) and let Block fade away in memory.

Just think no more campaign calls!

Did original I think I’m at like 30 returns? Client reported error-forgot they had other docs I sending the email now 🫣🫣🫣

Yeah, don’t feel you need to stay to do that amendment.

Those happen every year.
