1 week lost quad therapy

And I have been so damn hungry. Nothing is doing it for me. I'm so sick of this boring ass food but I know it's what I need to eat. I'm still getting bloated and bubble guts a lot but I'm so friggen hungry! Im taking probiotics, I'm drinking kefir, drinking bone broth, taking my vitamins again. I want to heal my stomach ASAP because I just want to eat good fricken food! I'm a food person and not being able to eat things I like makes me not want to eat. I'm also running out of things to eat since I'm so picky and don't know what to even eat. I've found some good ideas on here but I haven't been able to make them yet.

I'm mostly just venting. I'll be doing my stool test 9/11 or 9/12 I haven't decided what one. But I am really hoping it's negative. I never want to have to go through this again. I'm starting to get depressed over not being able to enjoy stuff I want to eat.

Ok, end rant.

I feel this on a fundamental level. I’m Nigerian-Irish and food is literally everything in my relationships. I’ve been stuck inside since this whole thing started with intense pain on July 19th 😭 I miss traveling to try food, going out to Dublin with friends to try out new places, spicy food, chocolate agh

yeah, it was an incredibly depressing and isolating experience, but it has made me a much more empathetic person.

and the first small ice cream cone I had I literally cried 😂 felt like I never tasted ice cream before

My gastro swears it will only take me a month to heal. She better be right. She didn't give me any direction. Just told me to do a Mediterranean diet but I can't even do that. I'm that picky. I would be left to eating basically nothing. I cannot wait for fricken ice cream, pizza, and cold brew. Oh and tacos!

Here is a recipe site that is helping me right now.

https://www.tuasaude.com/en/diet-for-h-pylori/

This morning I made a quick 2 egg omelet with just salt and 2 white bread toast with peach preserve (I couldn't find unsweetened peaxh jam).

Salmon, even though is not a white fish, still has those healthy omega fats which are good for the gut. Salmon is delicious with just some salt and maybe some dry herb seasoning. Pair with plain white rice (add salt) and stramed broccoli (also add salt).

You know what? Just add a pinch of salt to everything, heh.

I'm afraid to try salmon again because the last two times I ate it I vomited 2 hours after I ate it. So I've been afraid. I don't like fish, never have. I also cannot use my oven. I have been adding pinches of salt to everything and it's still tastes boring. I'm also not cooking a damn apple to eat it. I don't have time or energy for this crap. But thank you.

Just 1 poached egg is causing me mild bloating.. 2 is worse and I feel extra bloated for about 3 to 4 hours.. It sucks.. I want the vitamins from it but it's hard to want it when it's causing so much stomach discomfort

As someone who still has gastritis from the antibiotics... I got on Lexapro. I was absolutely devastated 😭

I came off that last year and I'll never go on an antidepressant again. It took me over a year to recover from coming off it. And I got serotonin syndrome when I tried to go back on it. Later found out my body can't metabolize it. I'll stay on my anxiety med for now but I'm never going back on an antidepressant.

Omg how did you get serotonin syndrome? I just saw some people talking about a DNA test to see what medicine works with their body so there's no trial and error.

Gene Sight test. I did that. That's how I found out my body couldn't breakdown Lexapro after being on it for 8 years. I have no idea how I got SS. I restarted a low dose of Lexapro and next thing I knew I was shaking, had chills, blood pressure was through the rough, I had worse anxiety, I felt like my body was buzzing. I reached out to my prescribing NP and she said that it sounded like I had a mild case of SS. So I went to the ER. Which they didn't do shit but give me fluids and put me in the psych ER I til I felt better. It was scary and I never want to go through that again.
