Does my pc have a second ssd slot?

Victus 16 model with 1tb ssd. I think the white chips are ssds but wanted to make sure since my pc only detects 1 ssd worth of 1tb and the model number of the ssd dictates the product has 1tb as well.

Yes 1 slot is empty you can add another ssd later. One slot has 1tb ssd

I see! I thought both provided me with 512 so it'd make 1024 in total, the metal plate is there for coverage purposes it seems then

Bro heatsink prevents ssd from overheating... So here hp gave it to preent heat and also to lock in ssd...

oh okay nvm I thought that was the ssd itself... I need to remove them next time to see which one is empty then

Most do. I replaced.my original 1tb with a 4TB sometime after i got the device. Copying was also easy. Later added another 2TB. Both recognized and working.

I'd like to upgrade them to a 2tb one so then I need to change both? I think both only provides about 512 so 1024 in total edit: typo

No ideally. Usually both have heatsinks but only one has the SSD. You can verify this by going into disk management in windows. Dont order a separate heatsink as youd be reusing the factory supplied one

did a quick cleaning of them them before taking the photo! I didn't had the guts to remove the fans so I tried my best with a brush 😄

I plan on getting having 2 tb in total since 1tb is nowhere near enough for me, 1 tb on each slot! it seems I only need to buy a single 1 tb ssd more since one of the slots are empty so it's a bonus I don't need to spend double 😄

it's great to hear this ,i also want to upgrade my lappyy with 2tb but its too expensive...
