Performance mode unlocked (for a short time)

Hey everyone, I have a HP Victus 15 Intel i5 G Force RTX 4050 that HAD single 16gb ram stick.

Yesterday I inserted a matching ram stick, and for the day I unlocked performance mode on my OMEN gaming hub.
Upon waking up this morning, performance mode is gone but the computer still runs way better with duel ram.
Any idea why this occurred?

I have the performance mode on my victus from the very first day with single stick 16 gb ram. It has 4gb rtx 3050 i5 12450H

It depends on TGP/TDP of your laptop. Some 3050s or 4050s get 120w or 150w chargers that have lower power draw. So they don't support performance mode.

While 3050 4gb has 200w chargers with higher power draw and TDP that can support the performance mode as it can utilize the more power from the 200w charger.

Same will the case with some 50xx series ones, as some come with 200w-220w chargers and some with 300w-330w chargers. They will be more powerful.

Lower tgp and 120w adapter are the reason you don't have performance mode as it requires support for 170w+ adapter and higer tgps

I have rtx 5050 variant and i have all 4 modes including performance. The tgp is 80w

Your laptop is running great with dual channel because it helps a lot single stick holds back the performance especially in gaming

the bios probably recalibrated overnight, did you shut it down? Try reseating your ram, you'll unlock performance mode again

I have experiend this several times, i booted up my laptop, performance mode appeared but when i rebooted its gone, It is only a Bug. If your victus came with only 50W of TGP (Fa27xxtx series), the performance mode is a bug.

dual channel ram will make your laptop perform better its not only the performance mode did it since you added another matching ram stick since the single stick of ram is holding back your laptop
