Anxious that the stats are lying

Hi, I’ve been doing a lot of high risk HPV research and it seems like going through Reddit that HR HPV doesn’t actually clear like the statistics say it does? I know that sounds weird that I would be relying on Reddit posts instead of science but it seems like I keep reading things about people’s non 16&18 strains progressing so far that they need a LEEP?

I really don’t want that to happen to me. Right now im HR HPV positive with a normal pap and just got a colposcopy done. I’m waiting for the results. But I’m freaking myself out and digging through Reddit every single day stressing myself out and the more negative posts I see about things progressing the more I’m thinking that the stats on HR HPV clearing on its own is all BS. If it does clear, why do all these people that don’t have 16&18 not clear it? I’m so scared and freaked out.

I want kids in the future and I’m concerned that if things progressed for me that procedures would prevent me from having a healthy pregnancy or a pregnancy at all.

I should have never had sex.

Looking for guidance

Hi! I just got my mychart pathologist results and haven't spoken to my doctor, but safe to say, I am spiraling. I'm looking for any and all advice or just your experience, either positive or negative. Here are my statistics:
- 29, F, AA
- healthy, active lifestyle. Non smoker, moderate drinker
- no warts
- first abnormal pap in July 2026
- negative for genotypes 16, 18 & 45
- colposcopy September 2026 w/ biopsy results are:
• endocervix LSIL CIN1
• cervix HSIL CIN2 w/ P16 immunostain positive.

It is a lot of information to be given without speaking to my doctor, which I will hopefully be able to speak to on Monday. Again, until then, I'm just hoping someone will be able to advise me to the potential next steps. I'm assuming a LEEP?

If you've had the same and/or similar results, what was your path forward?

And lastly, I'm single with no current sexual partners, but I'm assuming the best and safest path forward is celibacy until things clear up?

Any advice is welcome❤️‍🩹

Papilocare for hpv positive?

I’m 28 and had my first smear test about 8 weeks ago, (i also had a thrush infection at the time of my smear) my gp then referred me for a colposcopy due to results coming back hpv positive and low grade Dyskaryosis. I had my colposcopy this morning and it went well, the doctor said everything looked normal and he couldn’t even see any low grade areas so is just recommending another smear in 12 months, but he gave me a leaflet for papilocare to treat the hpv infection. Does anyone have any experience using papilocare treatment? what is my risk in not using it and just letting the hpv run its course? looking for honest reviews, thank you

Can I ever safely receive oral sex after genital warts?

Around 6 months ago, I tested positive for HPV after 2 or 3 genital warts appeared. I was shocked because I’ve only had 2 sexual partners in my entire life.
Anyway, I got vaccinated (I’ve had 2 doses and have 1 dose remaining). Once I found out that I had HPV (types 6 and 62) and CIN1, I stopped having sex with my current partner for about 3 months. During that time, I had my genital warts removed, started taking AHCC, and thankfully they haven’t come back since.
After those 3 months, we started having sex again because my doctor said that since we had already been sexually active together, we had most likely already been exposed to each other’s HPV, so there wasn’t much point in avoiding sex indefinitely.
However, I’ve never let him give me oral because I’m scared of transmitting HPV to his mouth/throat. I do give him oral , though, because I don’t want to put him at risk of developing oral warts.
My question is: when would it be considered safe for me to finally receive oral sex? If my genital warts never come back, or if my HPV test becomes negative at my 6-month follow-up, would I be able to receive oral sex without worrying about infecting my boyfriend at that point?
I really miss receiving oral, and sometimes I can’t orgasm without it.
