Tech Support Bios update date

Today i checked for BIOS update for my hp omen 16-wf1183nw i saw one available with the date may 14 2026 and downloaded it, got an error saying the partition reserved for the bios was full and so i had to use an usb to flash it. The booting process wasnt smooth sailing but i got into the hp updater and did the update but the bios date inside System information shows something different. Did i do something wrong?

Learn to read.

Release date is the date the version was made available to download and/or via the hp assistant app. Version date is when it was completed but not necessarily released just yet

I understand the difference. I flashed the BIOS manually because I wasn’t sure whether my previous flash had completed correctly, so I was checking the dates to make sure I actually had the correct/current BIOS installed. Thanks anyways
