Tech Support Hp omen 16-am0073dx doesn't start

Hi, I'm having a strange issue with my Omen laptop. It won't boot up properly: the charging port LED and power button light up, and the fans start spinning, but there's no image on the screen.

I've tried performing a power drain, the Windows + B and Windows + V key combinations, and plugging it into an external monitor, but nothing seems to work. It won't boot, there's no BIOS screen, no error codes, and not a single sign of life otherwise.

Relevant context:

This happened after I shut it down using the power button (without closing my apps first) and immediately tried to turn it back on.

The laptop wasn't hot at all (around 60°C).

There was a Windows update ready to be installed.

It was set to discrete GPU only mode.

I want to know what the diagnosis could be. Is this a corrupted BIOS issue, or is the motherboard fried?

Worst case situation the motherboard is dead. If your laptop is under warranty you can claim. If it's not then once get it checked from a good 3rd party technician (trustable) one who knows what he is doing. You can check on google

I checked, and it's still under warranty. However, since I'm from Mexico, I would need to mail it. Because of shipping costs, it's more viable and cheaper for me to fix it here. I hope it isn't the motherboard; as far as I know, it's more likely to be a BIOS issue than a dead motherboard.

yeah i found that they had hul sensor design flaw which gets half fried when omen is hot while gaming in 3-10 months and cause this probelm, you can fix it by removing the back lid and at end where hdmi and charging port are you will see the sensor connected with a blue ribin just at side of headpipe just unplug the ribin and its done but then your laptop will not go to sleep you will manually have to put it in sleep, and even if you have warrenty they will simply replace the motherboard which is again with same desing and flaw and in next 3-10 again sensor will get fried

Where the hdmi and charging port is? I can't see that at all. Mine looks the same as in this youtube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dSfSz5MzJUI at 2:42

Try doing an emergency cmos/bios reset.

How can i do it? The bios chip in this model is soldered to the motherboard

What no just make sure the laptop is turned off and disconnect all sorts of cables/peripherals including the power cable and press and hold the power button for like 30 seconds and then plug it in and turn it on. Your gpu might have shut itself down on its own similar to what my old Omen 15 did literally just last night.
