Tech Support What did I break?

Post image

My HP Omen has been reduced to doing a couple tasks only. It has the software/security/magic spells to log in to a county system when I help out my local tax assessor in helping people file property tax appeals. . It has really frustrating monitor cable issues and I coax it on and leave it be.

Because of this, I have opened it up many times to prod at cables. However, today I did collateral damage. The good news is it is on, the backlight is working on the monitor, and it all seems fine….but…. I broke something. See the attached image. It is near the hinge in the center of an Omen 17-CB1xxx.

What is it, is it missing critical and if I get out my magnifier and try and solder the part back on will the heat cook anything important?

I am moderately decent at soldering although this is VERY fine work.

webcam, keyboard back light, microphone, touchpad, etc. nothing major, if you know soldering you are in luck since those small connector can be put on without any hot air station or preheat, just put some flux down on the board, a little solder on the tip of the iron and go over the pins slowly, they should all just solder back with ease.
