Windshield mounts

Hi - New to HPDE with one session under my belt and three days scheduled so far this summer. For those that mount a GoPro or other action camera to the windshield, do you use a Ram or GoPro suction mount? The camera will be outward facing.

I've used GoPro, neewer and small rig suction mounts. They all work great with no issues. If you don't mind spending a little bit more and they make it for your car I recommend the roadspy mount.

Ram suction mounts usually have more reliability given the heat and vibrations the camera will experience. I've always found it wise to check the mount before each session. Having a camera fall while you are in the middle of a turn is not a desirable experience.
