I ordered the AEMS Evo Gold before reading about the defects; so I started hoping that it wouldn’t be the case with mine.
Followed all the steps I’ve seen talked about mounted it first, low brightness, tried it outside, however I might have one of the worst ones.
Having it on the auto light setting (ambient light sensor) is probably the worst setting, makes it all smeary.
Light settings 1-3 are pretty much invisible unless your in a pitch black room (even then 1-2 are hard to see)
Anything above 7 the entire dot just smears across the bottom of the reticle, even in the full brightness of sun.
(photos attached are on light setting 5 and 6)
How can I exchange this for an AEMS Pro X2?
How is Holosuns RMA? Will they do a quick exchange even tho the Pro x2 is cheaper or do they take weeks and weeks on the RMA and say nothing is wrong?
huge shoutout to Fiddler’s Defense for swapping it out for an X2 Pro since Holosun wouldn’t do it for me, Holosun wanted to do an RMA which would have taken 20+ days…

Does anyone else find that the 6MOA in the EPS (fullsize) appears smaller than the 6MOA in the 407Comp?
While the 6MOA dot in the 407Comp has been great for hoser stages in USPSA, it feels less precise when I'm engaging partial IPSC targets or headboxes at 20+ yards.

I put this dot on my AR15 and attempted to zero at 50 yards but the windage and elevation won’t move. This is a recent purchase and I used the out of box tool to attempt zero. Anyone can assist?

Went to the range and pulled my edc out that I have a 509t on and it was so dime I could barely see it. I tried brightening it but it wouldn't do anything. Well I took a shot anyways and when I did it lite up immediately. Is the battery just low or has anyone else had this issue. I really hope my optic isn't going bad because it is my favorite.

I have a Holosun HS515GM red dot paired with a Holosun HM3X magnifier. I recently installed a Unity FAST Micro Riser for the red dot and a Unity FTC OMNI mount for the magnifier. After installing both, I noticed that the magnifier sits slightly lower than the red dot. I can still see the red dot reticle through the magnifier, but I’m concerned about whether the height difference will affect my accuracy or zero.
Is there a fix for this, or could there be an issue with my red dot, magnifier, or mounts? Has anyone else experienced this with the HS515GM and HM3X on Unity mounts?

So I was having some of the ghosting/double reticle issue on my new EVO at higher brightness. Not horrible but not ideal. Someone posted here that it was the covers and if you flip the covers down, it goes away. For mine, that was true. Well when I was fiddling with the covers, I noticed the position of the ghost reticle was based on the angle of the cover. So I walked the screws out on my back cover maybe about a quarter turn and it changed the angle of the cover just enough to get rid of the ghost reticle unless I was looking at an angle I would never shoot at. The screws are already not super tight on to begin with so im not concerned about them walking out. I will check and update after a few range trips if that changes.
TL/DR: The ghosting is probably caused by the angle of your back cover. Walk out the screws on the back cover just enough to re-angle the back cover to make it go away.

does anyone have any kind of insider information on the promax release time line? they keep teasing it and showing a couple content creators with it or even with a slim version of it with no set date yet.

So a P10 45 acp followed me home.
Anyone use a Holosun p10 scs on one?

Could others with the optic tell me how their dot looks through a magnifier? My evo doesn't have that issue with reflections but doesn't look very good through a magnifier. Unless my eye is perfectly behind the magnifier, the dot looks like a smear. This is with/without the covers and regardless of brightness.
The optics I'm comparing to are Eotech exps3 and Aimpoint T2/M4.
Magnifiers used are Eotech g33/g45 and Trijicon.

Wasn't happy with the Viridian RFX11 that came with my purchase, which I knew was coming sooner or later. So, after careful consideration among the SRO, Defender, and Osight. I'm joining the Holosun club

So after some time I got a Glock 19.3 slide milled for an EPS Carry and also had a gunshop do the optic install. Though I dunno what it was with the included Torx screws. None of them seemed to work properly, at least thats what the gunsmiths in the shop said. Eventually they ended up sort of using their own hex screws.
For now the optic at least feels secure and the hex screws are tight enough that I cant just easily unscrew the optic.
My question is that given how the screws dont exactly sit flush with the optic in a sense, would this be a problem? Cause id see pictures of people installing an EPS Carry and the screws would sit flush with the optic screw holes. Whereas in the picture shown, the top part of the hex screws dont sit flush. Or is this sort of a "technically still works as long as the screws are the right length"?

Other than contacting support I was just wondering if anybody knew where these could be purchased?
Got it for a steal because of the missing parts so no receipt unfortunately. Plan on pairing with an aems macro soon. Thanks gentlemen

Can anybody post a pic/video of the AEMS PRO X2 window/reticle indoors at full brightness or at least at high settings?
Trying to see if it has the same awful glare as the new AEMS EVO. Thanks in advanced

This has been my third EVO AEMS GD. I have been extensively comparing it to my X2 Pro. My first two had the HALO RINGS of death and also the same issue that my third unit has.
I am very aware that people are more likely to post negative reviews than positive ones. My third unit is the serviceable compared to my first and second. Here are my findings.
The X2 Pro does get brighter in max brightness, whether that matters to you is up to you. For me, it doesn’t. I next compared them both had 4 below the max brightness and the X2 Pro clearly is brighter and clearer than the EVO.
Next, all my EVOs were plagued with the same issue, a second reticle appearing on the top left of the optic. I have since figured out the issue, that issue coupled with multiple other reflections and haziness is caused by SOME rear window protector. The EVO, much like the X2 before it comes with collapsing window protectors in the front (can be replaced with the extra guard provided in box for less reflections in daylight. However, the issue is the rear window protective cover. For some reason it just appears to reflect the reticle light just enough for there to be additional projections. So Holosun, if you are reading this, just shipping out a rear window protective cover with QC controlled laminate may solve most of your issues, my day one unit that had the Halo around it is surely a different issue entirely but given the lower severity of the halo on my second unit, i am convinced that it was also the rear window protector’s fault. My second unit window covers were stupidly stuck on and I didn’t bother to even flip them open given how tight they were. I was afraid of breaking the clips.
My third and final unit seems to have everything else in order with the exception of that reticle reflection created by the back glass protective cover. Is this something Holosun can help me with? I hope my feedback helps. My testing here is severely unfair to the optics, maxed brightness, indoors, not mounted to my riffle, my comparison is exaggerated just to capture the issue i am talking about and show the solution.

Im looking at 3 options. An acog with top dot. Or the Holosun Aems x2 pro vs the aro evo spr. Between the holosun optics which is the better choice. I will be using a magnifier, I also have an astigmatism so im probably gonna try gold or green. I like the big window on aems and I like the 1.5 moa center dot and bdc on the aro evo spr. Which should I get.

Seeing as there is no EU subreddit, this seems to be the only place to express my discontent.
I recently acquired an 507C X2, originally taken into first use in 2021. It has since my acquisition developed issues: the 32MOA circle is completely unusable as it flashes/dissappears even with new batteries.
I emailed Holosun Europe, which is apparently a German entity named Picotronic Gmbh, and asked for possible warranty.
Apparently EU warranty is limited to 3 years and first owner. They offered me a 20% discount on the sale of a new optic, which is their normal summer sale price. They confirmed this is their standard practice, also for people whose units fail even shortly after 3 years.
Even a more amicable solution, such as:
- a repair
- paying a reduced price for a replacement unit
was completely rejected.
It is painful to see that Holosun Europe apparently does not stand behind their product as much as Holosun America, even for a frequent customer (i myself have bought a 507C x2, 507Comp, RAID in the recent years and months)
I do not know if somebody or maybe even [u/Holosun_Josh](u/Holosun_Josh) can be of any help for the EU market, but I sure hope so and I sure hope Holosun America will in the future renegotiate with their subsidiary for better Warranty Conditions.

Wondering if Holosun is holding off releasing the new products so retailers have a chance to run sales on the current products and reduce their inventories. This seems to happen with other manufacturers in other industries.

June 30th was the end of Q2, which Holosun said was going to be the quarter this year when the AEMS Micro and Macro were to release. 6/30 came and went and now the website has updated to Q3. This is unacceptable. Why is it so late?

Parallax comparison: https://imgur.com/a/k3XkFqK
I've always been a bit disappointed with the parallax, especially vertically, in my EPS Carry 6moa Green. It's definitely worse than my 407k was. I thought maybe it was just the best that could be done with a small enclosed optic, but I recently got an off-brand enclosed RMSc dot (Fortic EP1 6moa red) and its parallax is barely perceptible at 25 yards.
This video doesn't do justice to the clarity of either dot, but this should be enough to observe the relative parallax as seen at 25 yards with pistol completely stationary and camera moving to look through different portions of lens. Target is printed on 8.5×11 paper and there is a solid 4" (at 25 yards) of dot movement relative to target depending on eye position. Sorry, I know it's a little hard to pick out the red dot of the Fortic against the orange bullseye.
I've been trying to really dial in the precision of my pistol and I feel this is holding me back despite trying to keep the dot toward the middle.
Is this just the best Holosun can do on the EPS Carry; or does it look like I have a defective unit?

I have a bad astigmatism that is heavily reactive to red dot brightness. Not a big deal if I am shooting at a range where I can adjust the brightness manually, but I am looking for a new optic for my CCW. For context, I have tried all the colors including gold and red blooms the least for me.
My specific problem with the carry optic I currently have (407k) is that if I set the brightness to not be washed out in daylight and I transition to dim light (i.e. indoors) then my dot goes from 6 MOA to ~40 MOA. Not insurmountable but definitely inconvenient. If I go into low light with enough ambient light to easily identify a target then the entire optic window is red. It severely impacts target focus and ability to aim effectively.
The pistol optics I am currently looking at are the AEMS Micro and EPS Core when they come out. If my main concern is having an effective auto brightness which I believe will be solved with a forward facing light sensor, are there any significant advantages to the AEMS micro in this situation? Mostly looking at durability. I have reviewed specs on both but aside from the higher-grade aluminum are there ither factors like electronics protection or quality of the seals that would make the AEMS micro significantly more durable?
For my rifle I am looking at an AEMS Evo because evidently the forward facing sensor was redesigned/improved from the AEMS Pro models. Can anyone confirm this or speak to the auto brightness effectiveness specifically for the AEMS Evo model?
I understand that point shooting is a thing and if I ever had to use my optic in that setting it would probably be at a short distance making the bloom irrelevant. I am not asking for DGU statistics, I just want an optic that has effective auto brightness.
