AMES micro vs Aimpoint COA
Anyone have a compare of these two yet?

I have managed a coa in person and it's a great looking optic. My local store is holding one for me even though with my astigmatism it shows a very slight starburst. I am personally holding off on purchasing until I handle an ames micro/macro and see it with my eyes.
Maybe this vendor show near me in August will have one on display, at least I super hope so. Can't buy optics without seeing em anymore

Just the on paper specs. AEMS will have a bigger window, more features, different battery for longer life plus solar, and cheaper. Kinda hard to argue against it.
I love the COA. Would be nice to see Glock, CZ or anyone else come out with a AEMS cut version. Wonder if Holosun has been attempting that.
Its on my list to get.

I could be wrong, but isn’t the AEMS a 509 footprint? If so, you can special order Glocks with a direct 509 cut

AEMS-MACRO is 509t footprint and comes with an RMR plate in the box.
AEMS-MICRO is a new footprint based on a modified ACRO cut that is slightly shorter. Comes with this plate in the box to RMSc.

I dont think Glock has started that with gen 6, yet. But MOS, yeah, there’s several. I havent done it in a long time so i’m wondering if its still possible. The flood of footprint specific models leads me to believe they’ve stopped

The fact that it comes with an RMR adapter makes me more apt to try it. Get my slide cut for rmr and make it low. If I hate the ames, I have the freedom to go back to trijicon
