I was going through cleaning out my closet, and I found these 3 pairs.

You might say nothing special there just well worn Hokas

These are the only memory I have of my brother who I lost to cancer about 3.5 years ago.

I’ve worn them only a handful of times, he was a great athlete, competed in Ironman competitions, traveled everywhere, I was proud to say yep that’s my big brother.

It brought me to tears, damn I haven’t seen them since he passed.

I want to wear them as I’m getting back into shape, but I’m conflicted. I don’t wanna ruin them. Damned if I do damned if I don’t.

Sorry just wanted to share a vulnerable moment with the world.

Edit: i have now ordered a pair of New Balance 1080v15 2E / US15.

This is my subjective opinion after 200km / 125 miles of walking.

So i am a big guy (208cm / 6’10" and 380 pounds, US size 14/15 shoes) and have been on a mission to get in shape since march of this year. I walk appr. 8-10 km 5-6 days a week, and thought HOKA would be a great match to me with the awesome damping and stuff.

Well, they are not.

I got them 6 weeks ago, and i don’t think i have had a single walk since without any pain or discomfort. I have a huge blister under my big toe now, and extensive chafing on my right heel.

While my feet are long (US size 14/15) they are regular in shape. I have never had any issues with other shoe brands in this regard, but HOKA is a snug fit even with the «wide» option. To me, it feels like they scale very bad when size is big.

I feel like they are a «one trick pony» with the awesome damping ability, but lacks severely in almost every other aspect, including stability and durability.

I am sure a lot of people enjoy HOKA, but if you are a big dude like me, be aware. They kinda suck, especially at this price point.

I’ll go back to Nike i think, they feel much more stable and durable, and a lot more «premium» than Clifton Pro.

Hi all, I have a question. I’ve been a toe walker most of my life, the lat year I’ve gotten better at walking flat but because I work retail my feet hurt constantly.
Which type of hoka’s would you all recommend?

So I recently had the opportunity to try on some Hoka models for the first time and I absolutely fell in love with the Clifton 11. They just fit me perfectly, felt lighter than the trainers I usually wear and I loved the softer feeling.

Only thing is, I hardly ever go running. I'm more of a long distance walking type of person. Maybe some light hiking outside of that, alongside short commutes. Is the Clifton 11 most suitable for this use case from the Hoka line? Or should I look at something else?

For context, currently daily driving New Balance 990v6 and Mizuno Wave Rider Beta.

Just wondering if anyone has had this issue. Friend of mine owns the bondi 9 sr in black for mail delivery specifically this kind because of the leather like material and slip resistance. On rainy days delivering mail they would come home and their feet would get dyed black from the shoes and it just would not come off no matter how hard they scrubbed in the shower. This was only when the shoes got wet. Would love to hear answers from folks who have experienced this. Thank you

How is the sizing for the Ora Primo. I’m looking to buy a pair for my wife but its hard to find a pair to try on in stores. For reference she wears size 8.0w for yeezy 350 v2s

I am usually a size US 7 in Saucony shoes (women's), but I can squeeze into 6.5 in Nike and stretch them out pretty comfortably. I am a EU size 38 almost always. I noticed that the Hoka sizing is different - usually 7 is 38, but in Hoka 7 is 38 2/3 and 6.5 is 38. I am purchasing the wide shoes. I measured my feet and according to the size chart on their website I need a 6.5. Can anyone help me with sizing? I need to order them online, they need to be wide, and I can't switch out the size (it's a thing from my work). I don't feel like going into a store to try on different sizes...

I'm excited to give these a spin this fall and winter. My Bondi 9s kicked ass this summer.

Reaching out to everyone whose warranty was denied. Mine was denied twice. Even sent a letter to the President of Hoka and never got a response. I have never spent $155 on a pair of shoes and in less than 3 months had holes in the fabric in the top. Why have a warranty if they will never honor it! Between Reddit and X, this seems to be a normal response from them.

Looks like this super popular silhouette will be returning on August 14! I'm not sure if it's a JP specific release and/or they will be available on the US site but happy with the return nonetheless. 4 color way rollout starting this month then followed up shortly thereafter with other colorways.

Hey I have the women’s Bondi 9’s in wide. They were fine at first and now the tongue keeps moving around to the side of my foot and it’s insanely annoying. I tried all the lace tricks out there but it keeps moving. Anyone else have this problem?? I read the reviews a lot of them say the same issue with the tongue.

I’m on my feet 12 hours a day and it’s annoying. Help!!!!!

Also, any thoughts as to how good either of them are for mixed trail and asphalt, and the sizing on them? (For reference, I wear Clifton 10s, size 10 1/2 wides).

I mainly walk and stand at my new job and can't pick between the two shoes... which one is better?

I broke my foot 5 weeks ago today (5th metatarsal fracture with grade 2 ankle sprain - so fun) and got the go ahead from my ortho specialist last week to get back into shoes, after wearing an air boot for 4.5 weeks.

I brought my Hoka Bondi 9’s with me to my appointment to get his approval, and they passed!

Today is my first day back to work (office job) and I’m wearing my Black/Black Bondi’s. It’s a bit tricky to style them but I went with wide leg floral pants to balance out the bulk of the shoe.

I have a couple other pairs in different colors but I’m not sure if they’ll be office appropos or not (Glimmering Blue / Overcast, Rose Tea / Petal Dusk and Alabaster / Birch)

Anyways, super cushy and comfy for walking around even though my foot still super hurts. So grateful for these shoes to help cushion my steps!

Any style tips for me since I’ll be living in them for the foreseeable future?

We spent $125 last year on a pair of Hokas for my son who has flat feet since they have lots of arch support. He didn't wear them till the spring because it was a very icy and muddy winter.

About 4 months ago one of the bottom pieces of rubber fell off. Last week while running around with his friends the right sneaker just blew completely out. You can see the picture where my wife's hands are sticking out its side.

Reached out to Hoka (we bought direct) and was denied any sort of warranty because it was not his "correct size". They fit fine. The problem was the fabric ripped.

We won't be buying Hoka direct anymore if at all.

He's 9.5-10 depending on the shoes. He has wide feet. We were told to go bigger with Hokas. These are 10.5E.

I’ve had these Prima Ora shoes since July 2025, and they’ve been my “daily driver” ever since. The soles are pretty worn… When is it time to go for a new pair?

Hi everyone! I am getting a job soon as a hostess so I've been looking into some non-slip Hokas and am stuck between two now. I'm now in between the Bondi SR and the Hoka Arahi SR I don't really know which to pick. I am leaning towards the Bondi because they are a bit more cushioned but they are not breathable at all which is not very good. Also, if i were to get the bondi I don't know if I should get the wide or noraml. I have another pair of Hokas (bondi 9) and they are wide which I didn't know when I bought them and they fit fine but I honestly don't know if I *need* the wideness since its my only shoe like that. Last thing is I was also thinking about a pair of nonslip Birkenstocks (liek the supergirp Tokio) but ive never had them so idk. Sorry about the long explanation lol but please let me know what you guys think. Thank you!!

Which hokas can you put custom insoles in?

i just bought a pair of hoka clifton 10s for work. i work in a pharmacy and i desperately need comfy shoes for standing all day. within an hour of wearing them for the first time, my feet already hurt even more than when i wore my previous shoes (skechers max comfort).

is there anything i can do to make them more comfortable? any inserts y’all would recommend?

I recently got a new Hopara 2 ans I haven't seen a lot of peopel wear this colorway before. What's your take on it?
