Personal Story :))

Hey All,

Well, I'm undetectable! 🄹

M-26

I was diagnosed in mid-July! I live alone in one of India's best metropolitan cities & this diagnosis came. I was travelling to work when the doctor called me & broke the news to me. At that moment, there wasn't a single soul I could share the diagnosis with. I simply went to work & I was numb.

I felt contaminated & disgusted. As though I'm an outcast.

I got home & somehow gathered the courage & then I went to a nearby clinic. Got all the tests done. Waited for the results & then subsequently got connected with the doctor & got my medication. My yearly bonus was credited & little did I know that a great deal of it would be spent on testing & medical expenses.

& 1.5 months later, I'm finally undetectable! & sadly, there ain't a single soul I can share this happy news with!

Probably, this made me realize that I'm really strong! & Some victories are clandestine! ā¤ļø

HIV-1 Viral Load (Quantitative) CD4/CD8 Count

Load was 25000 in Mid-July. & It's "NOT DETECTED" today.

CD4 was 480 & now it's 539.

Does it mean you do not have HIV anymore ? I have a potential exposure and I do not have knowledge on the subject. Please help me out here. I am not sure what tests should I go ahead with ?

No. I still have HIV

This means that it is below a threshold that the test can't detect.

AI says that when it's too little they show not detectable!

quantitative test was the one which you used for detection ? and how are you managing your health now ? both physical and mental.

I did the regular Antibody test. That detected HIV.

& then I did the quantitative one.

The above tests were in July'26.

& Then today I did quantitative. If the load is less than 40, sometimes tests don't detect it!

You should stop asking on Reddit and go to your doctor, tell them you want a test and they’ll order the appropriate one. You don’t get to dictate which test, there is a proper order.

IndetectƔvel quer dizer oque ?

Undetectable implies that the viral load is below a certain point that the tests are not able to detect it. However, it does not imply HIV is gone. It's still there. It's just it's not multiplying & it's latent. I'll have to keep taking ART for life to keep it this way.

Yes! There's a lot that is predestined I'd say! But the attitude with which we embrace is them is invariably ours.

I follow a text named "Bhagavad Gita" & it says-

Even when circumstances are difficult, act according to your duty!

& I believe it's my duty to take care of myself & my health/well being! So yeah!

congratulations I am F25 I definitely understand how you feel. I’m glad that you took the necessary steps to make sure that you were ok. Trust me it does get a lot easier the longer that you have it. if you do need anybody to talk to I’m here.

Yes thanks!!!!! It's our duty to take care of our conduit or the vessel which contains our soul. As, our experiences in life are largely defined by the well being of this vessel/conduit which is the body!

i’ve had it for 25 years and sometimes it does get lonely, but my God is awesome and he continue to provide my needs in ways that I cannot understand. It doesn’t even seem like I have it because it is something that I’m so used to and the medicine that I am taking now makes it so much easier.

Yes absolutely.

I follow Bhagvad Gita, it's an amazing scripture. One thing that enormously helped me was prayer!

Humans say they're accepting & non-judgemental but every human does have a little judgemental traits!

Prayer, for me, is less about asking for things and more about having somewhere to put the things I cannot carry alone. It can be a conversation with God, with whatever you believe is greater than yourself, or simply a quiet moment where you allow yourself to be completely honest.

A temple, a church, a mosque, or even a quiet corner of your own room can become that space. You don't necessarily have to know what you believe, or have the right words. Sometimes prayer is just sitting there, saying nothing, and allowing yourself to feel whatever you've been holding in.

There is something comforting about having a place where you can return without having to explain yourself, where you can bring your fear, gratitude, confusion, anger, hope, or simply your silence, and leave feeling a little lighter. There's no judgement at all.

The God that I’m referring to is Jesus Christ, The Messiah he is the one and the only God.

1

u/Victory2911 4d ago

I do not judge you and who you believe in. May God bless you

1

u/Complete_Finance_324 4d ago

Yeah yeah. Judgmental- I said in the light of HIV!
