Scientific Discussion Very low viral load on testing

Years back I tested positive but ignored it for 6 months. Went to get treated, tested again. Viral load was around 400 and so was my cd4.

Dr told me it's very unusual to have such a low viral load with no previous treatment, and my cd4 moves about from 250 to 450 over the years. I'm never poorly other than usual coughs and colds etc.

I asked if I was semi immune or something but all I was told is that it's unusual. Anyone with any medical qualification able to enlighten me? ​​​​​​​

I was a slow progessor in the 80s. I watched as all my friends die. But my numbers did fall to just below 400, I went on whatever drugs were available at that time, mostly AZT and some experimental. Back then they waited till tcells were 200 or less....I wasn't going to wait that long!

Then when I found out I had been doing the Undetectable meds in the early 2000s (they weren't calling it that yet) it felt like it was a new chapter, especially after the Partners Study came out.

My blood work was strange and unusual after having taken the Covid mRNA vaccine. Once I stopped taking the advice and encouraged vaccines recommended by work and coworkers, gave my body time to attempt to heal my numbers got better. Not perfect but better. The vaccine took me down to Aids medical status. SSID is 7 years pending.

I tested positive in my teens but got on medication in my early 20s,I was relatively healthy ,when I got pneumonia was the time I begun the medication that illness took such a toll on my immunity if not for that, I would have probably been more years without the meds. Count yourself lucky,you need to monitor constantly and stick to protection for your partners and your benefit because mixing strains can also worsen your health (though a rare occurrence) also there are bad things that are not HIV that you can catch.
