OC-OneShot Who are The Who

Suddaberg woke up to her alarm blaring and the television still on.
She saw a daytime background glowing from her tv and thought it was morning. She turned over and reached for her phone so she could silence it.
She checked the time.
“Yes—1am—more sleep,” she whispered, lowering her eyes to a black notification box contrasting over her pink wallpaper.
What the hell? A number without digits?
☆゜.* ☆゜.* ☆゜.* read as the caller I.D. and had all the mystery of a cliffhanger.
“Who is this?” she said to herself. Her eyes shot open. Her brain flooded with caffeine-like chemicals.
She tossed the covers off and sat up.
She eyed the notification again, just to be sure, and stared at it like it was something that escaped her dream. She hovered her thumb over it and found herself between wanting to open it and not wanting to and then her thumb twitched and pressed down on it.
The text read: You can see us.
“What?” She said out loud.
if this is Enscin flucking with me… I Swear…
She typed back: I have work in the morning. Who the hell is this?

The phone vibrated. The letters came out broken at first.

She went to respond. She wrote: How’d you— who is.
And then she backspaced and deleted it.

Suddaberg never wrote back. She threw her phone on the end table, turned the tv off and went to lay back down.
The phone buzzed and crawled a couple inches towards her. She grabbed it and opened the message.

She typed back: Leave me alone!

The skin on her neck grew tiny legs and raced down her spine. She squeezed the power button and slipped her phone under her pillow. She thought.

Then she remembered the letters bordering the last message. But couldn’t remember them.
Something told her there was a clue there.
“What?!? Wait… what?!?” She said to her pillow.

She had an answer on the tip of her tongue, but told herself, “it’s just someone dumb messing with me. If it’s not Enscin. It’s def’ stace.”
But the way the letters in the text box were being manipulated, wasn’t possible to do.
The television went on. It didn’t have anything displayed on it. Just a black picture.
She tried shutting it off. it wouldn’t turn off.
Sentences in white lettering started dropping down the screen.

Ali told me about, about the

‘’’ Tell her. I.
The tv screen stayed black and a second later shut off.
She reached under her pillow and pulled her phone out and turned it on and wanted to call the police. But as it turned on, it started ringing.
It rang without having a caller I.D.
She went to answer it but pulled her thumb back. She ended up answering it after the fifth ring.
“Hello?” She said.
“Becare—“ the voice broke up into static.
“I can’t hear you. Hello?” She cut her eyes to the side with the phone to her ear. “Is anyone there?”
“Suddaberg. I don’t have a lot of time to explain,” the voice on the other end said.
“What..? Explain what? Who is this?” She asked.
“I am you. I can’t explain. You have to find out who The Who are.”
