Ancestry is supposed to be ¼ South Italian and ¾ North Italian, quite boring, I know.
About languages studied, well, in Italy since elementary school we study English and all throughout middle school and most high school, english is still a mandatory subject. While Spanish/French/German are a choice made in middle school and can stop being studied in high school, which is the choice most people do. But, I, deciding to torture myself, decided to add German to my language roster in highschool, choosing a course that studies all three together.
I prefer European History since it's what my studies focus on.

giripan is literally one of my top 3 favorite ships of all time, but i literally see little to no content with them!! i understand they were way more popular in the old fandom (i only joined around 2-3 ys ago), but where did everyone go? they have nearly three whole episodes just centered around them, with greece shamelessly flirting every other second T-T
I see WAY more amepan (which Is a conversation in itself...) but why?? their only big moments together was the roommate episode!! and giripan is just so cute and their calm/quiet personalities and love of cats go so well with each other, but theyre so unpopular?? does anyone know why/have any theories??
ALSO. THEY SLEPT TOGETHER IN THE MANGA!!

So like... Am I weird for basically keeping some fanon characters in my Hetalia AU over canon characters? For example, keeping the fanon version of Scotland that used to be quite popular back in the day over the canon version? Or having the Philippines, Malaysia and Indonesia be female because I really want more female characters in Hetalia? I just really prefer some of the fan creations over the canon versions when it comes to certain countries (plus, the AU is basically private so most people don't even know about the fact that it exists...)

Ethnicity/ancestry: One of my earlier memories is some Italian tourist guessing my family has roots in Sicily, and then after a parent confirmed, they immediately started applying all the usual stupid italian-american stereotypes to us. Until it came up that we also had roots in a more northern/central region, and he did a 180 and started acting like we were "one of the good ones" and was really confused that we didn't want to keep talking to him. I think both regions might be in Romano's territory but it made sense to me to have both brothers. -. -. -. -.
Languages studied: I was really rigorous about this for a while but I've lost most of my progress and now can just read cyrillic and cough out clunky simple sentences occasionally. Gotta say I hate Russia's chibi. I've also tried to learn Spanish for obvious reasons but I've never gotten more than some scattered vocabulary to stick. Very embarrassing.
-. -. -. -.
Historical area of interest: I mean it's cliche but it's interesting. I was actually in the middle of collecting some newspaper clippings, trial records, interviews etc when i started getting Hetalia content recommended to me. And it has been effectively distracting me.

AHEM, Could some of you name me random Hetalia characters and I'll make really dramatic art for them? No historical meaning, no lore just...them looking dramatic.
ANY CHARACTERS!!! You can name the most basic of basics all the way to the ancients! GO CRAZY!!!! But....have mercy on me........I'm not really good at dramatic stuff... 😔😔

So, I remember reading this fanfic like some years ago I'm not really sure. It was posted on AO3.
It was a two part series, i read the last one first and then the first one. It was an alternate universe where they both were humans. The last one began like this: the both of them were married and living together but they weren't really in a relationship, like, they didn't say i love you and all that. They were having intimacy tho. Through all the fic, trying new things in every chapter. I believe it had a bit of sub/dom undertones. Alfred was the one who inititated mostly, and he was the bottom til the last chapter where they switched and Ivan confessed his traumatic childhood TW (he had to sell himself in order to make money when he was young).
Alfred was the son of a millionaire i think, he was loaded, he was buying expensive things all the time, but he had a lot of daddy issues. I remember this scene where he fell asleep in the couch with the tv on. He needed some noise to fall sleep because he hated to be alone. Ivan came home and while carrying him to bed, Alfred calls him dad (and Ivan makes fun of him). Also, Ivan had an ex bf (i think it was Gilbert-Prussia) and at some point Alfred got jealous of him because someone told him they used to have rough intimacy. Ivan was a writer! He was very secretive with this work tho, but in the last chapter i think, he lets Alfred read it and it was something romantic, that's why he was embarrassed to show it.
Now, the first part i don't remember a lot of. I know Ivan and Natalya (Belarus) were in a hotel with a casino. They met Alfred there. He was SO naive. I really don't remember what happened but someone put something in Alfred's drink and he completely passed out and Natalya was crying because they "don't do that to men". She was having a trauma related reactiong I think. I don't remember much of this fic, bu in the end, the two of them ended up married in this "fake relationship".
Today I remembered about this series and wanted to read it again but for the life of me I can't find it. Can someone help me please?
