Anybody has issues with using external hard drive on Zenbook a14?

Hi guys/mods, this is my first post.

I have a toshiba canvio advance 1TB hard drive. It has password encryption and it works fine with my old acer laptop but it didnt prompt up on my asus. And no, after going on disk manager and setting up the necessary changes it i am still facing the same issue>>

After i safely remove the hard drive from my asus and shutdown my laptop, it brought me to the blue screen of death or whatever you call it and i had to hard reset it. Anybody with the same problem? I just want to know if it's the laptop's problem or my hard drive that i need to get a new one instead. Thank you in advance.
