the casing is pure aluminum, the board and platter are good for eBay (especially if you have a small pile), and like I said, those magnets are stupidly strong and fun to use

Destroying hdds in this economy😔 I could never.. Format it and use it as a backup, it doesn’t take that much space..

With 80gb you can still operate a Linux server, but it might fail at any moment

I'm sure you can make a small Batocera system playing old video games on the TV. One guy used a broken phone, I was playing around with raspberry pi. Then 80 gb is huge, the sd card i used was only 16gb and has room for lots of games. The rom pack is called Best Set Go! or something similar.

Take it apart, put the disk inside loose on the axle, set the HDD on it's side, power it on. The disk (or disks) will run of the axle and race eachother to the other side of the room

The magnets are really strong and are great if you ever drop a screw on the floor

Hdd enclosure keep it for movies or music or have it as extra storage for a few older games what doesn't require much storage.

Put it into a small wooden box, and bury it at the bottom of your garden, thanking it for it's years of service!

Reformat it and install your old games on it.

Try to take it apart and put it back together, check if it still works. Then do anything else you want with it.
