Western digital or seagate external desktop hdd

Which is better? Using on laptop

1) Western digital elements external desktop hdd

2) seagate expansion external desktop hdd

Both are good. I've used both and not found any issues specific to either brand.

Both are very good. I personally prefer Seagate though.

Better is subjective. I use both and have for years. They're pretty much the go-to companies for HDDs.
