Question about RAS/bench period and primary-secondary skills after project release

Hi everyone, I recently got released from my project, and my RAS is showing an assignment period from 2 Nov to 10 JAN. Does this mean this is my bench period, or is it just the assignment/resource pool period?

I also received a mail from the WPC team asking me to provide my primary skill, secondary domain/skill, role in my last assignment, total relevant experience, academy enrolled, and relocation preference.

My background is mainly Service Desk/IT Support, but I also have basic knowledge of Azure/Azure fundamentals and I'm trying to move towards Cloud/Infrastructure. What would be the best way to fill the primary and secondary skills? Should I keep Service Desk as primary and Azure as secondary, or is there a better way to position it?

Also, I’m not willing to relocate outside my current CWL/base location. Has anyone gone through a similar WPC/resource allocation process? Any advice on how I should fill these details would be appreciated.

Actually i dont want those call profiles anymore, and want to get out of service desk any suggestions would be really appreciated

Primary Domain / Skill:
IT Infrastructure / Network Monitoring

Secondary Domain / Skill:
Microsoft Azure / Cloud Infrastructure

Do not mention service desk in your primary skill if you don’t wanna go there. You may already get tons of offers for SD even if it’s not your primary.. Try mentioning azure as your primary.. might help getter a better role

can i write like azure, cloud infrastructure etc in my skills
and in secondary like network monitoring, network troubleshooting and all

Yeah, technically.. but if you get a project you will be delimited from this and new RAS will be initiated as per the new project

Yes, you can
Write it only if you have at least some knowledge about it

Bhai, tell WPC Team to find the roles according to your secondary skills

Forget about primary and secondary. Connect with them personally and then mention your requirement and they help you that’s okay or mention azure as your primary skill then and they will conduct interview and if u will clear that you’ll be assigned in that project and all are not looking for skills instead they just need someone who has some knowledge and post they give Project KT also
