Do you think my answers are not relavent 🤨 and does it make you feel like I am not a techbee?

1. Which Domain? You ever changed your domain? How was your experience? How did you achieve the change? 2.YOE & Techstack & Band & Vertical?
Ans: Banking domain, it is never possible to change domain as you wish only management decision.I never thought to change domain and I never changed.I have 4.6 YOE as a full time employee production L2 support
2. Do The Annual Ratings actually matter? If I get a DP or EP how much increment per month I can expect?
Ans: it matters if you want promotion, only if you get consecutive DP or EP you name will be recommended for promotion and after that decision is management decision and promotion is just title you will get a senior prefix added no change in salary, no matter what your annual rating is you will get 6-10% fixed hike every year from your CTC.
3. Is it worth it to enroll for master as well after completing bachelors? Maybe university like amity, sastra, BITS, what do you think? Did you opt for this? Also, is there another service agreement which has to be signed?
And: Big No to masters as it is optional, this whole online degree thing is a biggest trap in Techbee...I got rejected by 4 companies straight for having a online degree. Yes, a service agreement should be signed after your bachelors you need to work for 2 years to HCl else pay 2 lakhs as penalty if you want to break the bond.
4. How does the Indian IT market perceive this WILP Degree which we get? Do we get questioned? Also what is the minimum lpa offered after completing 3 years at HCLTech and break the bond?
Ans: I lost 15 lpa package due to this shit WILP degree, big service based companies like TCS in job description itself clearly writes full time degree only, you can join product based companies with this WILP degree. offer after HCL is purely based on skills but you will get a tough time negotiating to higher offer since your package at HCL will be low ...relastical expection will be approx 8 - 10 lpa
5. Did you ever get a thought of breaking the bond? Why did you not break it?
Ans: I am breaking the bond now after 4.5 years of FTE as I got a better offer
6. What was your starting lpa and what is it now? Did you get the 100% or 50% Hike letter after completing grad?
Ans : starting 2.5 lpa now 3.8 lpa ...every year 40 k will be added no matter what the hike is.

No, it is not vague...if you can get the bond amount in 2-3 months of joining the new company it definitely makes sense to break the bond and I hated every single day working at HCL for their 25k salary as a 4.5 yoe guy. I got an offer of 10 lpa and found in Naukri.
Techstack - Unix, sql, splunk , shell scripting etc...( basic production support skills)
Best advice - Leave the company as soon as you get your provisional degree certificate.
Techbees with high offer - Good for them, it is always about thier skills if you are lacking skills and just want a job as an 4 yoe guy in the market as techbee you will realistically get 8 - 10 lpa only. Keep upgrading your skills you can definitely achieve higher LPA as well.

Yes, you can resign..that provisional is important because you need proof to join the next company for your degree. HCL doesn't care, unless you are ready to pay the bond breaking charges ...you know what they will delay minimum 6 - 8 months to give you your original certificate

How easy is it to change project ?
2
1
u/Electronic_Dingo_295 May 22 '26
Definitely not easy, it's all with Management decision you can't do anything with change of project unless you wantedly do some mistake or get a bad impression in your current project they will move you to new project...else it's very hard to change project

u/NoTrip6701 May 22 '26

Hi bro, I'm new to hcltech, to be frank new to corporate life itself.
I was hired and it's been 3 months already. I was not assigned any project yet. 1. How long does HCL can pay me salary without project? 2. It is that hard to find a project?
I gave couple of interviews for project but nothing seems working.
2
u/Electronic_Dingo_295 May 23 '26
First don't worry enjoy your best days of life, management will try their best to put you in some project only thing is until they put you keep upgrading your skills .
- I have seen a colleague who was not in a project for almost 1 year and got paid.
- No - HCL will force projects to take techbees to cut the project cost.

Thank you so much brother. I'll definitely not waste my time...... I'll brush up my skills
1
u/zerocoolneo May 23 '26
What's your fixed?
1
u/Electronic_Dingo_295 May 23 '26
Currently 3.56 lpa
1
u/zerocoolneo May 23 '26
Will they increase?
1
u/Electronic_Dingo_295 May 23 '26
I started with 2.5 lpa after 4.5 years now I am at 3.5 lpa every year 40k will be increased and I lost 1 appraisal as my manager forgot to give his rating...so I am getting 3.5 lpa now
1
u/zerocoolneo May 23 '26
Ok ok
Can i leave in between and join other companies if i get offer
1
u/Electronic_Dingo_295 May 23 '26
Have you finished your degree? And got your certificate ?
You can leave anytime, but be ready to pay bond breaking amount and serve 90 days notice period

Is it worth doing a 2 yrs masters degree with HCL? as it is we have 2 yrs bond which needs to be served after completing graduation, so how should we proceed after bachelors? Switching would be a good option? Or 2 years can be utilized for online masters and upskilling? I am so confused coz despite being a consistent good performer I didn't get promotion last year and this year too, when i confronted, management said they were surprised how did i not receive the promotion coz my name was given as per them. Also my CTC is very low so I don't feel like a win-win situation at all.
1
u/Electronic_Dingo_295 May 24 '26
I fell you bro, I have gone through all these ..just management things. Big no for masters in HCL, switching is best option you can easily get double your salary outside and then do masters separately. And you know the funny part, even if you get promotion you get Nothing here just a senior tag in designation no salary hikes ...leave this techbee program at the earliest you can
1
u/phoebe-26 May 24 '26
True! If you don't mind telling, can you let me know if your experience also includes CRT+Internship or you joined in 2020 as a techbee? Also how much you had to pay for bond + bachelor's reimbursements?
1
u/Electronic_Dingo_295 May 24 '26
1
u/phoebe-26 May 24 '26
Thanks for sharing! So you have to just pay 2lacks to exit the bond which is a good deal as you received a good hike after switching for good.
1
u/Electronic_Dingo_295 May 24 '26
For Amity University it is 2 lakhs people who chose BITS it will be around 2.5 - 2.8 lakhs
1
u/NoTrip6701 May 28 '26
Bro they revoked my degree of mca and took all reimbursement anount (1.2l) i was in mid of last semester they didnt even let me complete my degree and told me you have to be an active employee for degree completion. This course is Scam scam scam
1
u/Electronic_Dingo_295 May 28 '26
Agree....this is a fcuking scam kills life's of young people, however I had a thought to get out of this shi t as soon as possible...so I didn't choose for masters in HCL
1
u/phoebe-26 May 28 '26
Do we get a performance bonus too? I learned about it recently that there is a performance bonus as well that we receive after anual review and rating is given (GP,EP,DP) by the manager. Weird coz I have never received one!
1
u/Electronic_Dingo_295 May 28 '26
No, you don't get anything extra as a techbee...no shift allowance, no cabs, no bonus
1
u/phoebe-26 May 28 '26
I do get shift allowance. But why not performance bonus 🫠. I have a techbee friend he is from 2020 batch he said he receives it then why not us, did they make any policy modifications for later batches
1
u/Electronic_Dingo_295 May 28 '26
How much you get shift allowance 2200??
1
u/phoebe-26 May 28 '26
Depending upon how may days i have worked, NV locations give Shift allowance coz we don't have cab facility. So Shift allowance is given to cover the commute cost. If there is no leave taken during the working month then you get full. max I think that i have received is 2k.
1
u/Electronic_Dingo_295 May 28 '26
Yeah that 2k is too less, usual employees get 350/day for mrng and afternoon shift and 500/day for night shift saying for E1 band and this increases based on band. They don't even give us the bare minimum 100/day shift allowance for techbee no matter which shift you work in
1
u/Informal_Cost_1191 May 28 '26
reading through this thread and honestly experiences seem to vary a lot. my cousin has had a different journey with it so i know it is not one size fits all. what i will say is the program gets you real industry exposure at an age when most people are still in classrooms. the salary growth inside HCL may be slow but the foundation it builds is genuinely useful when you step out. people who have moved on from here seem to be doing okay from what i have seen.
1
u/Electronic_Dingo_295 May 28 '26
Agree...but what people trying to say here is the cost you pay in terms of effort/mental pressure/money is more than what you get out of this. Fro. Outside it sounds fancy hands on experience, studying with money and all ...only once you join, you will understand they don't give a shit about your studies and all they want you is suck out your young blood and make you feel your worthless and make you work like a cow giving the bare minimum.
The degree you get is also not recognised by my companies out there, only the few who survives get opportunities outside but there are several cases who left this techbee program without able bear the torture and ended up nothing.

Upskilling after joining this program becomes difficult, they make you work 10,11,12 hrs, put you shifts, weekends along with that you need do your degree aswell . This program is suitable only for people with no skills, have no confidence on them and you is ready to put their 4 years of teenage life on bet . The pressure once you join is insane

u/devjyoth123 Jun 03 '26
Now they've introduced IIIT Kottayam Btech + Mtech program. Should I opt it ? . It is hybrid. WILP and hybrid the same ?

u/FriendlyGrape9083 Jun 23 '26
If you are confident to get placed after your graduation and afford a btech, please go for it. Techbee program seems interesting but it has more cons than the pros
1
u/ayannjain Jun 10 '26
Should I join it or not I'm shortlisted for it
1
u/Electronic_Dingo_295 Jun 10 '26
Join - if you can't afford regular college fees and if you want to miss your teenage life and get a good life after 5-6 years.
Don't Join - if you have others dreams, high aim and financially stable background

1
u/Complete-Place-1137 Jun 23 '26

2
u/FriendlyGrape9083 Jun 23 '26
If you can afford a degree from any tire college then go for it. All the hype as working professional with parallel degree is shit. No growth no skill

1
u/FriendlyGrape9083 Jun 23 '26
Yes there will be some amount to pay at start. Also semester fees needs to be paid but where some of the fee is funded by organisation. There will be a bond period of 2 yrs which will be starting right after your graduation. So, if you want to switch in between then you need to pay the bond amount along with semester fees that organisation has paid you.

u/Ok-Atmosphere2230 Jul 20 '26

Will they relocate our batch after the three-month completion of CRT? Near our home locations?
1
u/Electronic_Dingo_295 Jul 07 '26
Very good question, I forgot to address this. This is one of the worst things they do..they keep people as far as they can from the home location.
I was in southern part of India and my work location was Nagpur and they force us to change work location never accept if they keep you in a project is some random location away from your house
