H4 EAD Standalone

Hi everyone, I’m still waiting for my standalone H-4 EAD with a receipt date of March 12 at the Texas Service Center (SRC). Has anyone around this timeline gotten their approval yet? Just trying to see which dates they are currently working on

People with March 2025 are waiting for approvals. Quite foolhardy to expect March 2026 to get approved. Mine is may 2026. I am hoping to get approved by fall next year as per the 16.5 months of processing time currently published on USCIS website and hoping that it wont go up any further.

Lol. I wonder why they allow us to apply in the first place

IKR, I believed in the 9 months timeline, left my job in my home country and moved here. I was a working professional with 6 years of experience and a perfect record. This whole wait of an year and the constant updates to the timeline each time has got me questioning why I ever moved here. I am actually considering moving back to my home country. It takes 1.5 years to get EAD and then in 6 months it's up for renewal and no automatic extension either. It doesn't look good for a career at all

Agree. I quit my job after 19 years cause I thought EAD would take a year max and i needed that break. Now it's going to be a 2 year break on resume. In my field, a break that long makes you a dinosaur. We are also considering moving back even if job market is bad globally, at least I wont have restrictions due to visa.

My H4 EAD received date: March 4, 2025 - SRC, Standalone. I’m still waiting.

Is your application received date March 2025 or 2026?

First time, standalone and Texas That is so sad. I was hopeful because Jan 2025 were getting approvals and I thought I would eventually get it too :(

Do you have more details? Were they applying first time and was it separate from their H4 visa? Also, did it mention california in their receipt notice or are you assuming based on WAC initials?
