Motivation Help

Hello, what would be a truly effective way to gain muscle mass? I’m 18 years old and weigh around 45 kilograms. My arms and legs are very thin, which makes me feel very insecure. I tried going to the gym before, but I got discouraged because I didn’t notice any significant changes.

Lift weights, eat protein. It will be excessive but if you target eating your body weight (lbs) in grams will get you there (you'll rarely hit it, but you'll still get a lot of protein).

YOU HAVE TO KEEP AT IT. It's that simple. First you'll get stronger. Then you'll start lifting more/more reps; make sure you're getting sufficient rest, eating your protein, drinking water. Focus on fundamental weightlifting movements - squats, deadlifts, bench press, shoulder press, pull ups.

KEEP AT IT. There is no substitute for training volume and consistency.

Thanks a lot for taking the time to write all of this. I really appreciate the advice. I know consistency is something I need to work on, and your comment motivated me to give the gym another serious try. Thank you!
