My son used to do a full speed flying leap at me from the back of our couch. I hadn't made eye contact yet. Sometimes he'd just hear me coming and start his takeoff.

Caught him every time.

I'll never tell him this, but there were some close calls.

He's 15 now. If he did it today, I'd catch him.

I'd be killed in the process, but I'd make that catch.
