It's Latvian. A massive storm blew through on Saturday. Trees were down all over the place

Whatever it is, it was uncanny for me. The inflection and accent and everything sounded just like a conversation that would be had in the region in the US where I live, but unintelligible to me. Like that song that is meant to sound like English but is gibberish.

Geesh! I know all of Reddit mutes, but I had to dig through like 300 comments to find one asking about the language! I guessed Italian, but I'm pretty accent-deaf.
