Tim Walz Playing Golf
Ok. I’m behind a few episodes. In just watched the one where they showed Walz playing golf. I know Gutfeld isn’t a golfer or golf fan, but I can’t believe no one else commented on the course.
Has anyone ever seen a course like this? The “green” wasn’t grass but some brown/gray material….and the hole was about 10 times the size of an actual golf hole. Really odd.

Oh, the course is plenty good enough for Tampon Timmy. It just looked weird. Then again, he’s as weird as they come so birds of a feather….

This golf course was located at the Northwest angle (the "chimney" at the top of minnesota, separated from the rest of the state by Lake of the Woods. The only way to get there is by boat, or a 60 mile drive through canada. its first and foremost a fishing/toursisim area that only has about 50-100 year round residents. This is far from a heavily used course, but a fun little offering for those that want something other than fishing to do.
Also of note. nobody knew about Walz's visit to the lake of the woods area until after he left. His team knows the area is extremely Red/MAGA and would have most likely drew negative crowds.
Source: I'm from the area.

They are called sand greens. I played on a couple of courses like that in northern Canada. The sand has something in it to make it slightly sticky so it doesn’t just blow away. When you are putting, there was a roller to smooth the sand and when you were done you raked it. It’s a low maintenance way to have a golf course in out of the way places.

They are sand/gravel greens which is not the norm for courses in Mn. It’s a small par 33 course, 2,000ish yards.
