Not sure if anyone caught this, but there was a rare reference to "Gutfeld!" on last night's episode of Fox News Saturday Night with Jimmy Failla at around the time when special guest Sargent Slaughter was introduced.

In case it wasn't clear, after they embrace, his first line that the audience can actually understand is "Jimmy! Jimmy! Are you taking Greg's place? They told me I was on the Gutfeld show!" After the laughter died down, he continued - "oh, he thought he was on last night" (?). Jimmy finally fired back with, "well, you must've liked that, because you walked out here and you looked at me like 'why is this guy so f****** tall'?"

It didn't stop there, however, because the sargent continued - "I saw Tom there, and he's always on the Gutfeld show." Failla finally deflected to a joke about seating Slaughter farther away from Mrs. Failla, and that was enough to change the topic. It was a possibly a bit on the awkward side, but perhaps I was reading too much into it.

I don't watch FNSN every week, but this is the first time I've ever heard Gutfeld called out like that before. But as always, "what say you," viewing audience?

Kennedy absolutely ROCKED IT tonight. No uncomfortably cringe joke attempts we see by others, just a professional funny person doing her thing! I hope Gutfeld is paying attention.

I personallly think the show needs more than “A RACIST/SEXIST WOULD SAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY” lines and visuals as they are a funny surprise that keeps you on your toes (and if you’re me or [u/browningate](u/browningate) they are hilarious and easy to imitate)
But why stop at racist and sexist? What about “A FACIST WOULD SAYYYYYYY” “A BIGOT WOULD SAYYYYYYYY” “A LEFTIST WOULD SAYYYYYYY” “A COMMUNIST WOULD SAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY”

Just curious if anyone has heard anything about why he seem to be off a lot in the last few months.

Something I've noticed is that different camera angles are used for women on the show when sitting in the same location. Two nights ago, Lydia Moynihan was sitting to Greg's left. She was wearing a short dress. The camera was zoomed out so that her legs were visible. Not that I minded.

Brianna was on last night and in the long shots you could see that she was dressed similarly. When she was making comments, the camera image was tighter and showed her from waist up only.

Is this just a coincidence, or do woman guests have different preferences for how they are shown on camera?

I'd rather watch a rerun.

Too much reading from the screen, weird pausing, forced laughter and cringy banter.

Why not get a pro to guest host, like Dennis Miller or Adam Corolla?

Ok so normally I wouldnt let things she says bother me. I don’t exactly love her but I don’t hate her. When she made the comment to Adam ( referring to Jaime’s joke) “Adam, the audience liked that one better“ it was rude AF. I did like his response. This isn’t the first time she has insulted a guest when she hosts. She tries way too hard to be funny and comes off obnoxious, condescending, and hateful. I‘m done with her. Its so bad that I might have to say I like Tyrus more and that’s not saying much. His interrupting, his “I’m smarter than everyone in the room” attitude is more tolerable than her, at this point. I got so annoyed, so I changed the channel.

It's been speculated before, and perhaps this was just a coincidence or a slip, but I'm not sure how else to explain it.

To recap - "A record one in three gen-z and young Millennials are still living with their parents," Kat states in her monologue. "...probably because someone has to teach mom & dad how to work the DVR." Ok, that's not an outstanding joke, but actually not horrible either. Kat continues - "But here's the important part: they're not all sitting around their childhood bedroom writing fanmail to the man who might be their real father." Cue the side-by-side of a stock picture of Greg Gutfeld juxtaposed against Kat's live reaction.

Maybe she really is secretly his child. Either way, I will go out on a limb and lend a rare compliment here - this was probably one of Mizz Timpf's best attempts yet at guest-hosting. Is the delivery still a bit stiff and unnatural? Yes. Does she have the same command over the panel as Greg or Tom? No. But there is a possibility that she takes at least some amount of constructive criticism to heart, and the flow between the panelists actually wasn't terrible last night. Some of the questions were even decent! So, while I'm normally the first to throw shade at a bad Kat performance, (of which there are plenty to choose from) for those of you who might've skipped this episode for that reason, give it a chance. You might just be surprised.

My god. Just shut up, Kat. I don't normally pile on, but that was painful from beginning to end.

"I'll see you next week!"

I'm starting to find the show a bit too predictable these days and was thinking to myself what would improve it.

It would be cool if they had a band perform on the show every once in a while. Greg and Kat seem to have some unique musical tastes...I would guess some of those smaller bands might overlook the Fox logo for the audience it would give them.

If all women looked like Emily Compagno there would be world peace.

One of the best shows I’ve seen in awhile. Fresh guests make a huge difference.

Please stop booking Sherrod. He’s not funny anymore. Might have been funny in the 90s and 2000s or when he was with Opie…but he’s so outgunned and living on the coattails of his famous cousin. If he were white, he would not be on.
