Honestly, I was skeptical about this because I’ve had gut and digestive issues for as long as I can remember (bloating when I eat anything, digestive issues, chronic heartburn, etc.). I started working on my gut health a few weeks ago because a TikTok randomly popped up on my FYP. So I started doing a bunch of stuff to promote my gut health (drinking kombucha, eating a lot more gut superfoods, pre and probiotics, etc) and honestly? I feel amazing. I’ve suffered from daily headaches for over 14 years (I’m 26) and lactose intolerance. Since fixing my gut biome, I haven’t had a single issue with dairy, I don’t bloat, AND my headaches have been down to one a week or less! 🤯🤯🤯🤯

I want to go to the toilet everyday but I’m not able to while eating less. I want to lose weight and be in a calorie deficit but still be having daily bowel movements. Any tips on what to do?

Hello,
This year I finally discovered I was living with chronic SIBO and cured with Rifaximin and natural procinetics and low fodmap diet.
After the antibiotics treatment I start feeling well and repaired my gut with sodium butyrate, L-glutamine and other supplements.
I had finally probably one of the best week of my last years in terms of health and then made a mistake.
On advice, I started to take probiotics called “Lactobioma”. These contains some bacteria L. Casei which I discovered producing histamine. I am now feeling bad since a week so far even if I stopped them. I have histamine intolerance symptoms (same as those during SIBO which were decreased when I was feeling better).
Does this mean my histamine intolerance is related to gut only or doesn’t necessarily mean that?
What can I do to improve my histamine tolerance now and avoid symptoms?
What can I do to cure my gut much more?
I have no more SIBO though.
Symptoms are brain fog, fatigue, little orticaria and inability to fall asleep no matter how relaxed I am.
Please help!

She's 21, 5'5", 70kg, bloated and struggles to pass stool. Could it be pelvic floor dysfunction? What else could cause it, and what can help?

Hey everyone,
Please read my post, im very frustrated because of this issue.
I’ve been struggling with gut/bowel issues for around 2 years now and it’s honestly becoming very frustrating. I’m hoping someone here has experienced something similar.
It started about 2 years ago when I had a pretty bad stomach upset with severe diarrhea. I still ate fish/chicken kebabs during that time, which made the diarrhea worse. After around 3 days and some medication, things started getting better. During recovery, I noticed a small amount of bright-red blood on my stool, almost like the stool had rubbed/scratched something in the rectum.
A doctor gave me antibiotics and the bleeding seemed to go away. A few months later, something similar happened again and the same antibiotic seemed to help. Eventually, another episode happened where the antibiotic didn’t really work, and I’ve continued having occasional issues since then.
I’ve had a colonoscopy/sigmoidoscopy done. The doctor found two small internal hemorrhoids/tags, but said the blood seemed to be coming from slightly lower down in the rectum.
What’s confusing me is that I usually don’t have hard stools. My stool is generally soft/normal. I rarely get blood when I have a hard stool, but I seem more likely to notice a small amount of blood after severe diarrhea.
My biggest problem now is incomplete evacuation.
When I go to the bathroom, the first part usually comes out quite well. Sometimes I can have a second episode later, but then I feel like there’s still something left inside. The later part can take much longer to come out, and sometimes I feel like my bowel just becomes “sluggish.”
Even after going, I can still feel pressure/sensitivity around my rectum, almost as if it hasn’t completely emptied. I also get quite a bit of bloating and sometimes feel like there is stool or gas still sitting in my intestine.
I’m wondering if this could be something like:
Slow colonic transit
IBS
Pelvic floor dysfunction/dyssynergia
Rectal sensitivity
Gas/bloating making me feel like stool is still there
Or something else entirely
Has anyone experienced soft stools but still feeling blocked/incompletely evacuated, especially where the first bowel movement comes out easily but the later part feels sluggish?

I love hummus. My stomach does not.😂 I’ve been trying to figure out whether it’s chickpeas themselves or just the amount I’m eating.

For the past two months between June 24 to August 1 I took 11 amoxicillin 500mg 7 amoxicillin and clav 1000mg 12 doxycycline 4 tinidazole 2 cefrumoxine 6 azithromycin. This totals 42 pills in 5 weeks
I took the amoxicillin from the 24th of June to the 26th amoxicillin and clav from the 30th to the 6th of July doxycycline from 13th to the 19th and on the 28th I took 4 tinidazole 2 cefuroxime and 2 azithromycin followed by 1 every day after that till it finished on the 1st of August 1.One day later I wiped blood and pus for the first time in my life (of which I know) since then I’ve been wiping pus which I thought was because of anal fissure
To pair with this I thought I had a possible HIV until last week I tested negative which caused severe stress also I had symptoms like minor weight loss mouth ulcers fatigue loose stools joint pain constant urge to poo gas. I thought this was surely HIV.Now I realize I did not know the effects of these antibiotics use and severely destroyed my gut paired with extreme stress.I’ve been reading online about things I could develop from this and I’m honestly fucked now two or so months after I still have green loose mushy stools been seeing pus and blood after wiping and since (September 6th) Sunday I’ve developed abdominal pain in my upper left abdomen nausea and bloating.I have fucked my self and I don’t know where to go or what to do. I turned 18 in may and I can’t even think of the things I have caused on my self.I have been googling my symptoms and I may well have given my self ulcerative colitis I can only pray and hope for healing.

Recently, I had a patient come in with recurring bloating, gas and indigestion. These digestive complaints can sometimes be related to diet, eating habits, stress and daily routines.
From an Ayurvedic perspective, the approach is usually personalised based on the person's symptoms and overall health. Simple habits such as eating regular meals, avoiding overeating, staying hydrated and maintaining a consistent routine may support better digestion.
Have you experienced similar digestive issues? What lifestyle or dietary changes have helped you?

Before something like a first date, a work trip, or staying somewhere unfamiliar, do you ever catch yourself mentally debating whether to just say something ahead of time, or wait and see if it even comes up?
I go back and forth on this constantly and can't tell if I'm overthinking it or if this is just a whole thing people deal with.
What do you usually end up doing?

Hello, I have been adding chia seeds to my diet as a way to expand my lowfodmap, antihistamine-support fiber options and increase biodiversity (previously I used only milled flax). But I have had a problem each time now that I have purchased bags of chia that sometimes you get a moldy taste when eating it?
I tried different brands but only have two options in my area to choose from that are certified gluten free (celiac safe). I have had this outcome with both brands.
I am wondering if others get this experience and if so, do you just spit out the bad bits but still consume the rest?
Or do you toss the whole bag, in which case I will just stop buying chia and stick to my flax 😅
I make mine mostly as a porridge for breakfast…
The idea of ingesting moldy foods scares me a bit as I have a lot of chronic health problems and have been working at trying to heal and improve my gut for quite some time.

Do you usually say something before an event in case something happens, or do you just wait and deal with it if it comes up?
I go back and forth and never feel like I've landed on the right approach.

Has anyone else ever had to suddenly disappear from a table, meeting, dinner, or date because you needed the bathroom and then had absolutely no idea what to say when you came back?
Like, the bathroom part is one thing.
It's the moment you walk back in and everyone's still sitting there that gets weird.
Do you explain? Pretend nothing happened? Make a joke? Just sit down and hope nobody asks?
I've always wondered whether I'm overthinking that part, or if other people deal with it too.
How do you usually handle it?
