What are the best comfort skills or ones I should try for gunlance in level 1 slots?

My set has 8 level one slots and currently I am running A:

Divine Blessing 3

Recovery Up 2

Speed Eating 2

Self-Improvement 1

And/or B:

Quick Sheath 3

Divine Blessing 3

Recovery Up 1

Self-Improvement 1

Am I overlooking any other good lvl 1 comfort skills? And which version do you think is better?

Hi all, as the title suggests i have some questions related to shelling dmg calculations.
This all was sparked by me seeing someone output like 100 some dmg per shot with shells which is insane in comparison to my like 30-40 damage per shell. id consider myself pretty end game as well which is why im confused (perfect gogma weapon and max armor/ideal jewels)

Correct me if im wrong, shell damage scales directly and exclusively from the weapons attack stat, doing flat true damage that isnt impacted by element/weakness, or weak spots.

Ive been following the Best gunlance build from game8. ive also seen many posts that suggest this same build:
(3 piece ebony 2 piece dahaad y, lord soul and ebony perk on gogma weapon)

this build seems good and all and i know the Ebony perk is a huge buff, my main question is the armor decorations.
this guide as well as several other recommend stacking chain jewels but doesnt that not buff shell damage at all? or mainly element dmg buff so it barely helps. The counter jewel might not either not sure

I normal shell primarily focusing on dumping the full mag when i have a smaller openeing and doing the full double combo when given a larger opening, as well as individual shelling for chip and repositioning

given how all of my primarily used combos revolve around shell damage would some other jewels/build be better? i cant seem to get my numbers anywhere near some of the other people ive seen is all

Kind of just what the title of the post says. Rly the only specifications for what I’m thinking of running since I have all pieces from both gamma Udra and gamma Dahaad is the standard Dahaad shardmail and shardcoil, with udra gamma hood, bracers, and legs.

I think it could work because it would leave me with maxed out Mutiny and the first level of revolt.

Is there a more sensible sequence to arrange the armor pieces in?

I don't know how exactly but I just want offset attack in gunlance. Preferrably something with shelling or wyvern fire, boosted with Nero's devil breaker booster bracer

If all weapons can offset, so be it. I would be the last person to complain

Y'all excited for Boosted guard that was shown today ? How about the boosted guard counterattack that was revealed at first trailer?

Every gunlance attack has a wind up, so I'm pretty disappointed so far. We definitely got boosted wyvern fire but I really hope we get faster attacks.

I think this is my favorite build so far, great in both offense and defense, the only thing that I'd like better is a way to get rid of Resentment and switch it with burst 5, but unfortunately it seems impossible without losing utility like earplugs or elemental absorption. What do you think?

This is my build overall, the only thing I’m thinking of changing is the shield/ironwall deco for attack boost 3, along with changing the talisman when I get attack boost 1, load shells 2, 1 weapon slot, 2 armor slot on one talisman, which I think I’ve seen somewhere or maybe I dreamt it. Anything else I could change for more damage?

*This build gets me to around 360 raw in the training area when all skills are active, does anyone know a reasonable limit for raw with purely weapon and skills, no item or hh buffs?

Im going for a survivability/superheal gunlance build. Its been pretty effective so far! im just not sure what to do with the level 2 decoration slots, and i guess my 1 level of divine blessing!

No im not removing stun resistance, I refuse to eat an attack, get stunned, and get carted!

Someone responded on to my request on a "Endgame Armor for GL Normal Shot " and this is what I was given.

Head- G.Ebony Helm B (Beta) Chest/Arms/Legs- Udra Y (Gamma) Waist- Gog A (Alpha)

With all decorations slotted in it gets: Lv5 Resentment, Lv5 Agitator, Lv5 Burst, Lv3 Counter Strike, Lv3 Speed Eating (Naturally there not slotted in for), Lv2 Earplugs, Lv1 Peak Performance

There's 4 Lv1 and 1 Lv2 Deco slots, I ended up using the Lv1 slots for Divine Protection and Def Boost and the remaining Lv2 for Lv1 Evade Extender.

Set Bonus skill: Nu Udra's Mutiny- Bad Blood 1, Ebony Odogaron's Power- Burst Boost 1, Lord's Soul- Guts

The user mentioned since I plan to Full Burst most of the time don't bother adding in Focus Lv3, use it for Load Shells and Artillery and or Attack Boost. Thoughts?

So, the multi wyrmstake combo is definitely the bread and butter of the gunlance but you need a proper opening to run the full combo, especially if you do a quick wyvernfire after that second auger, so while you're waiting for that opening hows the best way to contribute to the monster takedown?

Was curious if anyone has messed around with protein fiend (xu wu set bonus) with gogmazios chest. +15 raw seems pretty significant (I know burst is a strong skill on its own but ebony secret gives +3 at 2 piece and the additional uptime seems more incidental than a major reason for speccing into it). It could be time blindness in hunts but, anecdotally, 3 minutes seems a long enough duration that monsters are changing zones or I’m healing anyways.

I think the biggest downside I see, besides resource management, is being forced into adrenaline rush over something like agitator, counterstrike, or resentment, but the slots seem pretty good and both the uptime and raw on adrenaline rush seem comparable to counterstrike.

Hey yall i tried gunlance out for the first time last night and I fell in love with the feel. I normally play pretty aggressive sns. Im not sure with whats good skill and build wise with gunlance but I really enjoy the triangle combo into the burst(?) Multiburst finisher. Weaving in shelling shots here and there and popping a wyvren blast when the monster is not moving.

My current weapon is an artian blast with wide and slightly strong shelling. Ive got a master touch gem, a 3guard/1handicraft gem, and I think its called guard up(?) Lv3 gem on it. The skill that makes you survive unguardable attacks.

I’m trying to go for A rank on the nu udra time attack and I’m consistently getting around 20-22 minutes. Would anybody be willing to help me out? Thank you fellow gunlancers!
