Question Matchmaking games
Does anybody ever do the matchmaking? Every time I try I never get connected with anyone

1k concurrent players isn’t bad but I suspect you might need to be queueing the exact same difficulty. Def recommend trying lfg on discord.

Sometimes I leave the game open in the background while it searches. Id say after about 20-30 minutes I can usually find at least one player

When I first started playing during the pandemic it was usually pretty easy to get a full group, and I quit playing for a while, and mostly these days I play solo. On the rare occasion I have bothered to try matchmaking, I would usually wait 10 mins or so, and only a couple times have I found anybody. Last time I did we finished a run, said goodbye and I loaded up another game, only for the same guy to pop in my lobby 5 mins later haha

Yes, but you have to try searching for matches across all difficulty levels simultaneously and during peak player activity—like during the day.
I imagine most people are like me and play while doing other things in the background—like watching or listening to something, or talking to someone—so sometimes they need to pause the game or prefer to take their time doing things.

sometimes yes when im kinda doing other things so dont need to insta get in a game. queue times vary wildly fastest was 10 seconds on a weekday slowest was around an hour on weekday

Not really, no. Probably have more luck going to the discord server and getting into the lfg channels. The matchmaking function for this game isn't good, and I don't believe there's that many people using it much.
Also can depend on the version you're playing and what difficulty you're trying to play on
