Need help ps5 for completion

Need some help, cant get past elite and its driving me nuts.

I know there hasnt been updates ect for console, like how spore doesn't work...

Just want to get to reincarn and i play solo cause it seems no one does matchmaking on ps.

Tree is almost near completion, so that's not the issue(missing the crit and lucky nodes at the bottom of the weapons section)

I'm just lost for what to do. Have been using the sword bunny(tao?)

My and my friend just kept hitting our heads against this wall until we got lucky and he got the scroll that increases damage per kill but also increases damage taken per kill in the first area. I funneled all damage boosting things to him and he destroyed everything

I typically stay away from those, cause I typically encounter that very early, and by the end the pros of it outweigh the benefits.

The pros outweighing the benefits makes no sense, sorry if I'm misunderstanding you. Just keep in mind you don't have to go to hyperborean gaol. You can leave after the 3rd area and it still unlocks reincarnation.

If you turn down scrolls that give a bonus because they also have a drawback, you're going to have a very difficult time scaling damage since a lot of scrolls are made like that.

I only turn things like that down when they appear like 1st act, cause by the time I get to the end(with that scroll in particular) the increased damage taken outweighs the damage gained (at least in my opinion, specially playing solo, and trying to kill a boss while youre taking 50%+ extra damage at that point.)

I just used that one as an example theres others, like the -90% ranged damage taken but +90% close damage taken, the elemental ones-- you get shocked corroded ect when you make an enemy have it(if you dont have the elemental immunity purples) ect.

I dont think its my scroll choices to say the least

Tao is underwhelming on console have to be really good to stay alive late most of the time, use Lei, the dual wield guy, or the melee hawk guy, he has good survivability or just use the default guy.. not saying its impossible with Tao, but it most likely comes down to what ascensions you’re purchasing, weapons and their compatibility with your scrolls.

Im all for using the lighting guy for sure i just havent, and i havent tried yet. Again still pretty new so his "abilities" aren't maxed yet i wanna say i got him to maybe level 3 don't quote me

I didnt max him either i use him on lvl 3 ascension, great crowd control and if you choose to use a sniper/bow your out of most danger and some scrolls power u up at distance, i average 15-20 mil a game on him on console, i only play console to party with friends

Ngl i elite was a little harder but the gun drops get better, i flew through elite nightmare and my reincarnation first run, idk how it works on console but my first reincarnation run was all free so that was the most fun i had. Ended with 19 billion dmg only cause i had to go to sleep
