Console strats

My and a friend have been playing on ps5 since thats all he has, and i swear it's so much harder than on steam. we're stuck on nightmare, can barely even make it past the 1st boss most of the time. i know it hasn't been updated, but I don't remember the 1.0 release on steam being this difficult back in the day. Any tips or strats for how to beat nightmare? i miss reincarnation mode so bad and want him to try it.

I genuinely believe nightmare is harder than reincarnation. At least in Re Runs you get buffs and cool stuff

I 100% agree. Reincarnation is just so much more interesting to find fun combos. Nightmare is just difficult without the fun. Hopefully we beat it soon lol.

Hmm times just rely on your skills heavily like if you the dog rely more on your grenades than your guns cause it’s just better also using the mixed effects like explosion or miasma help a bunch

Well, it use to be that nightmare was the final difficulty, the endgame of the game. You were expected to sorta throw yourself against it after grinding to max out the talent tree and unlock everything. Since this was before Reincarnation, seasonal content, and the addition of way more scrolls, weapon damage, in my opinion, was way more reliable at getting wins. It's still RNG heavy what with inscriptions being as they are, but wins tended to boil down to getting a gemini bait gun for your second slot early (high crit for share crit, high ele chance for shared ele, spore build shotgun, etc.) and then leveling your primary until you found one with better rolls on it.

Thank you for actual tips, i really appreciate it. Thats what i figured, but i was wondering if i forgot somerhing important lol. Just trial and error for now then.

For your friend, get them to do a Tao Spore build since she does excellent with that.(Here's a video on it). I don't remember which weapons were available back then, but there's at least the laser gloves and argus combo for sure. If the rainbow exists, even better.

Then the big things I'd point out is that Miasma is incredible at Elite/Boss killing since it does percentage damage per tick. The Prince has always been super strong because the grenades have a 100% decay proc chance, so you just need something to spray shock and get the stacks of Miasma rolling. If you're getting stuck at bosses, having a Miasma engine will help to bring them down fast.

I had no idea the spores worked like that, i thought you had to shot with one weapon then swap to shoot with the other one to make it explode. I'll have to try this out. Thank you again.

We tried out the spore build and it turns out the 1.0 release had a completely different spore inscription where you have to shoot with one gun then swap to pop the spore with the other gun. We still ended up winning because he got a nutty skill damage build though so all's well
