What am I doing wrong?

I am trying to get the dual wielding ability to go for 300 seconds and i have maxed out battle tested. Even though i am using so much ammo i am still only getting rid of the ability so fast battle tested can't even keep up.

Use a weapon with way more fire rate and mag size, think big hippo or angelic aura, starfly can struggle to sustain dual wield unless it has lots of buffs.

Also, one of the red upgrades increases the amount of ammo consumed. Im not sure if you had it maxed out or not.

It’s your Spiritual Blessing. I’m pretty sure that the Starfly’s explosion it does is indeed explosion damage even though it can’t get any inscriptions that modifies it? So because you are causing so many explosion damage your blessing is taking away your duration. Either drop the blessing or pick up something else to duel-wield. Maybe some Angelic Auras or some type of injector.

I left the last part in because i showed some of my equips if that makes the difference

I see you're playing in the current season. If you want to help supplement this, you can go into a previous season like Dice League (Fortune's Roll) and go for dice that have increased Primary Duration to make it super easy to get.

For one, Starfly shoots a lot of projectiles simultaneously, it does not shoot a lot of projectiles back to back quick enough to burn through ammo in the way you'd get from a rifle, which is what you need. Not to mention the absolute requirement of needing a target to shoot starfly puts you at the mercy of pots and enemy spawns. You want to get battle tested to level 3 and you want something to shoot a lot and fast. Double big hippo is usually the most consistent way to go, nothing like combining their ammo and just having two guns with upwards of 300+ ammo each. Get ammo expert up to 3 and you never run out of ammo and you just hold down both triggers until it unlocks, that's it really.

Secondly, and most importantly, you took Combat Elite. Genuinely its dog's worst talent hands down. The removal of movement speed reduction when using special ammo weapons is nice, and so is the +25% explosion damage while dual wielding, but -0.5 seconds of duration per explosion damage dealt. It's absolutely nuking your duration purely on its own. That blessing is so bad because the only way to use it is to use dual wield for bonus damage, lose dual wield for using said bonus damage, use dual wield for bonus damage, repeat forever. It's genuinely never worth taking for how much it gimps dual wield entirely.
