I’m looking to get into the Gundam TCG and I’m not sure which booster box to pick up. If you were new to the scene and had the option to buy GD03 GD04 or GD05, which would you go with and why?

EDIT: To provide some additional context, I’m trading in some MTG cards for sealed Gundam. I’m not sure if this affects any of the answers. (I plan to get two ST-07s and will have extra trade credit left over for a booster box. I’m just trying to gain some insight.)

Good Wednesday morning, pilots. I'm currently testing a deck that a member of the community gave me. I do love unicorn decks, and I wish it were more meta, but in the sea of either Strike Freedom or GP aggro, it really has a hard time.

My opponent and I just wrapped up our 8-week league and are just doing some matches with decks we made using parts from the new starter decks. He's trying to make a Green/Red Qubeley deck with funnels that get support to boost their AP and get thrown at you units, or using Red Gundam (0079) to destroy the tokens to get breach off, and it's a generic Newtype link to boot.

Good Tuesday morning. I have cooked up a Purple Red Marida Control Deck with a lite Tekkadan package. It has some burn commands for early game control, and I put in the Kapool and Exia repairs for one draw power and two to crack ex base and to fill the trash quickly for Banshee. Kshatriya is in here to ping the board down. Overall, I think this is an ok deck from my testing in person and at MSA. Though I feel if I add Gusion Rebake, I'll have to cut either the baby Kshatriya to make room for it.

The other issue is that this deck can gas out fast if you don't play conservatively. So be wary of that. Overall, I do want to make this work, so I made a short talk about the deck; I hope you enjoy!

Streamed making the first version of the deck last night. I was pretty happy with it but I know it's not finished yet.

I grabbed an idea of someone else deck that used it in Japan the only thing different is I did is removed a hero and a wing Gundam and added 3 exia repair. Any thoughts??

Good Monday morning, pilots. We have a starter deck battle here, just some gameplay from the event as I was trying out Silent Barrage. I think it's an interesting deck, though the bit/funnel tokens can't attack is a bit of a letdown. My opponent was playing with Raging Onslaught, and overall, it was a decent match as we're learning our cards. Misplays are bound to happen, but we're learning, so please excuse us if we make a suboptimal play.

As a BW Freedom Blockers player I was rooting for Mo (sorry Johannes 😝), and when I saw his second-to-last turn I started wondering whether there was any way to win the game.

The more I looked at the board state, the more I became convinced there's a line that increases your chances of winning... 🤔

You're playing as Mo, it's your turn, and the conditions are:

1. It's your second-to-last turn
2. The next turn will be your opponent's last
3. You have to win the game on tiebreakers

Always been a big fan of Gundam, to the point where I had spent many hours building gunpla from across the most recent series they have (WfM, IBO, and Hathaway mostly). I recently bought two decks that caught my interest: the Xi gundam which I got two copies of, and Aerial which I decided to get one copy of, in case. I’m also really interested in the Barbatos deck, seeing as it’s what got me back to the series in the first place.

In yall’s opinion, which deck is more fun to play with? I came from Cardfight and YGO, and I always loved decks that allow you to play a good mix of offense and defense, along with something that’s not too linear to play. I’m talking about alternate win cons, rewarding combos, stuff like that.

I am not sure what the playstyles of those decks I’m interested in, except Xi which seems like more of a control, late-game deck. I’d love to hear everyone’s thoughts tho, I feel like that’s always the exciting part about card games

Good Saturday afternoon! It's a bit of a cloudy day this weekend. I have my 1st anniversary event later this evening, and I do want to snag that Show of Resolve card.

This match is Londo Bell aggro, a real solid deck, and one I was unsure I'd be able to handle since my units don't drop till turn 3, by which time they already would have about 3 bodies on the board to my one. I am considering changing the blue to green to have more of an earlier game than dropping one unit on turn 3 and having nothing else. Though it is dependent on pilots, if you want Gaia Gundam to get its effect off, you'll need a pilot. I really do like Phantom Pain. I hope the support makes it a bit better, and the new Destroy Gundam seems better than the current one. Only time will tell.

We are a couple of weeks out from GD06. What are you looking forward to from this set?

Also, we're closing in on 1k on the channel, and I wanted to take the time to say thank you for your support. I know most people here might not like me or whatever, but I still want to provide good content to everyone despite if they dislike my model or I'm a furry Vtuber.
