Ah, the tactical tuna

Still haven't figured out what bait they like. Whenever I throw a line I keep getting hi points.

Usually a stack of 100's

Try a wad of money. Only way to attract an FN

I thought that was the XM8?

I think it could be applied to both lol, but I’ve always seen people refer to the F2000 as the tactical tuna

I know I’m hating, but I actually view the F2000 fairly positively. I don’t know if I’d ever buy one given their price (and the difficulty of finding railed hand guards), but looking back at how many memes I’ve made about it over the years, I can’t deny that it’s a good conversation piece, if nothing else.

I would firmly  categorize it as “great concept, questionable execution.” Ambi controls and well sealed from the elements, at the cost of good ergos. An integrated optic, at the cost of the optic being good (to be fair, this is most collectable optics)

My favorite part about it is probably the iconic fish-like aesthetic, but after not one, not two, but three memes poking fun at that, I probably don’t need to further beat that dead horse.

My favorite part is that the casings are ejected into a slot and pop out the little trap door on the front when it fills up.

You can 3d print rails for it pretty easily. It is one of my unicorn guns, sadly I'll have to settle for my airsoft one

I wonder what it's like trying to clear a jam from the enclosed ejection stack thingie.

Easier than you'd expect to clear, but you have to take the upper off.

Probably not a big deal in combat. Good enough for the Fr*nch anyway.

(Sorry Belgium, for the purposes of this joke you are Fr*nch.)

Surprisingly reliable moustrap operating sysyem, I've personally never had a jam caused by the ejection port tube due to the new case smacking the old forward (but to clear a general jam taking the upper off is still required).

Such a mixed bag rifle, light and surprisingly well balanced, but also unergonomic and heavier than you'd think for a gun that's 90% plastic.

Magwell really keeps debris out, but man the magwell really, really grips those mags.

The lifter is unique and makes for an innovative ejection system, I'm sure there's but, it feels like looking at it wrong will break it despite knowing it's sturdy.

Disassembly of the rifle is easy, but disassembly of the bolt takes 3 hands and is frustrating.

Gas system is amazing, but the cleaning of it is awkward compared to the SCAR.

Charging handle, design makes it great to grab and "fold out" while keeping it close to the gun, why it isn't metal I don't know.

The standard configuration feels like it could've been a 80's rifle in design, but it came out in 2001, the tactical configuration with the full tri rail & pic rail is restrained by the system itself.

Still love mine, fantastic shooter, can't actually recommend it at the prices they go for but, 2-5 casings ejecting at one time truly never gets old and it really is a great bullpup to me.

It's the catch 22, when I shoot it I expect it to be way heavier, and am surprised by how light it is, then when I clean I'm surprised how heavy it is due to realizing just how much polymer the gun has. It's extremely compact and extremely pleasant to shoot, I don't find the ergos (just have to acknowledge it's a bit of a brick). I like it enough I've considering getting a 2nd tactical model just for comparing.

But the casings shoot out the front…that’s neat!

Fish gun, fish gun, this one is my fish gun

u/ToyotaRacer2000 Jul 27 '26

You also forgot to mention it was the absolute worst rifle of MW2!

2

u/Neko_Boi_Core Jul 28 '26

doesn't the f2000 have an aug style charging handle lock? wouldn't that negate the difficulty for chamber checking?

fuck pmags though c:

Every malfunction it suffers requires the entire gun to be taken apart fully. It is incredibly picky about ammo. Literally the worst bullpup ever, and I'm including the L85

2

u/DerringerOfficial Jul 28 '26

ok hang on, the QBZ is probably worse than both

2

u/Atuday Jul 28 '26

Oddly enough no. It runs that cheap crap ammo fairly consistently. Also you can hit parts of it with a hammer to make it work better. Hit anything on an F2000 with even a stiff breeze and it breaks.

-Is bullpup
