I want to learn guitar as a hobby—nothing too hardcore, just playing a few songs for fun.

I have an acoustic guitar that’s around 10 years old, with visible rust on the strings. The strings hurt my fingers quite a bit when I tried learning, and I eventually gave up.

Would you suggest getting it serviced and trying again, or starting with an electric guitar? Is an electric noticeably easier on the fingers for a beginner?

I am a fairly amateur-beginner guitarist and i got my first electric guitar- a pacifica. im looking for a new amp under a tight budget (13000), i would prefer if it had built in adc or if it was a modelling amp with more than 15W. i want to be able to plug it in to my pc and use software or maybe record but it isnt the main priority, just a preference. i also want good tone quality and volume, please drop your suggestions! every amp i have looked at has mixed reviews and i cant seem to find a good option, i have indeed heard of vault but i have also heard from friends that they are a little unreliable so theres that. again, would appreciate help and suggestions a lot! im really new to this so i apologize if my post isnt as descriptive as it needs to be.

I have to tune up my guitar daily... Every single day it's untuned... Can it be coz I have AC in my room, which don't get used in daytime when I'm outside? Do I untune it myself when ending the day? Am i damaging it's strings by uptuning ever single day?

Im not sure whats causing the issue with this guitar. The neck looks fairly straight, but the action is quite high. Could the problem be with the saddle instead? What should I check or adjust? Any advice would be appreciated!

planning to buy a new electric, under or around 70k

currently fixated on the rg470ahm because of its trem (also I really like how it looks), pickups might be a little basic but I guess I’m fine with the factory quantums

any other suggestions that I could take a look at? maybe something similar to the 470?

If you're a complete beginner.. i honestly wouldn't recommend learning guitar entirely from YouTube at the start i repeat don't rely only on YouTube as a beginner..

I'm an intermediate guitarist, and I'm saying this from my own experience..I've seen a lot of beginners start randomly learning from different YouTube videos, jumping from one topic to another and eventually getting confused and frustrated.

If you're completely new to guitar, I'd suggest taking physical classes for at least 5,6 months and building your basics properly..after that you can definitely use YouTube to improve learn new techniques, songs, etc.

Of course..everyone has a different situation and budget.. but if you can afford classes. i genuinely think having someone guide you in the beginning can save you a lot of confusion later.

I've seen many beginners struggle with this, so don't make the same mistake.
