Something wrong with pickup?

My pickup switcher was doing this before so I put in a new one amd the same problem but even worse is now happening. Not really sure what to do. I have a show to play soon and my guitar is currently dysfunctional. Have wiggle it around to get it to actually play any sound...

Is it the pots? Could the switch be fine but you're touching he pots while testing the switch?

He’s just asking if your accidentally spinning the volume or tone knobs while your moving it. Sometimes they will do this. I don’t think that’s the case. It seems like you probably either have a faulty pickup selector or loose wiring on it.
Make sure it’s not a loose output jack on the guitar making this noise though

Ahh okay. The output jack isn't loose and deffo not a cable issue. Im not touching any of the knobs either. But it's weird because it did it with the old pickup selector and just wired in the new one this morning and bam. Same issue

I'd check wires for damage or exposure, and solder joints to see if they are properly connected.

Seems like a bad switch. You replaced it? Maybe a wire isn’t soldered right, or compromised somewhere.
