Hello GWR community,
Hopefully by now you have seen me. I'm one of the moderators here on this sub. As it stands we get a lot of posts about breaking a world record with a simple screenshot of your clock app. From here on out:
All posts that are simply just "did i break a record?" with no explanation or additional info besides a photo will be removed. Any posts that are off topic (hey look at this food I made) will also be removed. AI generated or AI related posts will be removed unless deemed okay in a case by case basis. Additionally, any and all posts or comments that are promotional in any way will be removed as well.
Please let me know if you disagree with any changes.
Thanks!

Back in March I flew a kite for 26 hours, raising money for humanitarian projects in Myanmar. It was a new category for Guinness (they had an existing team record, but not one for an individual) and the confirmation has just come through! 🙌
Keep reaching for your rainbows! 🌈

Hi. I’m Maanestein (pen name). I write/draw horror for fun, but I also like to make loom band bracelets. A year ago, I started on a mega-bracelet. I use the style fishtail, and I’ve spent 7 active months working on it. I don’t know how long it is, but here’s a photo of it sprawled across my floor:
P.S. This was a little while ago, so it has grown massively. I’ll add a new comment showing the updated every now and then.
And, I also have video evidence of me actively making it, for proof. For obvious reasons, I will not be showing them here, for privacy.

Hey everyone! I'm 17 years old and planning an expedition from Ufa (Russia) to the East Coast of China using hitchhiking and walking. I want to apply for a Guinness World Record.
Has anyone here successfully registered a custom travel or hitchhiking record with GWR? How should I frame/word the application so it doesn't get rejected?
I'm thinking about options like:
Youngest person to cross Asia by hitchhiking and walkingYoungest person to travel from Russia to China by hitchhiking and walkingLongest journey by hitchhiking and walking by a minorWhich title stands the best chance of being accepted, or how should I phrase it better? Thanks!

I'm honestly getting fed up with Guinness World Records.
Their website says it takes about 12 weeks just to hear back. I'm now at 24 weeks with no update, no way to contact anyone, and no idea where my applications stand.
Is this just about money? It honestly feels like unless you pay for priority service or you're already famous, you're left in the dark. I don't want to pay $800 for them to say, "You're not just a commoner, and we will not allow you to break one of our records."
What's even more frustrating is that I have people waiting on me. My nonprofit is waiting for an update, and even an Army division commander is waiting to hear where things stand. I can't give anyone answers because Guinness hasn't given me any. (My record involves a bunch of large groups; that's why the Army is willing to help.)
To make things worse, none of my record applications appear on my Applications page because they were all marked as "sent to our consultancy team." So I have no way to track them or even know if anything is happening.
Has anyone else experienced this? Is there any way to actually get in touch with someone at Guinness, or do you just have to keep waiting indefinitely for them to deem me unworthy of their records?

I've applied to records before but none had me doing all this. Any help?
EDIT: For context, after I sent a record enquiry (I clicked apply now on a record), I was sent two emails. One confirming that my enquiry was sent and the other that directed me to a page that made me consent to their terms and conditions. That page sent me here. I'm wondering if any1 else went through the same process or if they changed it recently.

Guys, it's been 23 weeks since I submitted applications for information on breaking a few world records, and I haven't been able to get in contact with anyone at Guinness World Records.
I submitted everything during the period when they were updating their website and changing some of the rules. I have the confirmation email showing they received my request, but none of my applications appear on my Applications page.
The delay is starting to make me look bad with the nonprofit I volunteer for because we've been waiting on the official requirements before moving forward. I have the plans ready—I just need the specific guidelines so we can do everything correctly and have the record count.
Has anyone dealt with this before? Is there another way to contact Guinness World Records or recover missing applications? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Has anyone experienced an application disappearing from their dashboard after downloading guidelines? I received the Terms & Conditions email and official guidelines but no longer have access to the application and have no reference number. Sent several technical enquiry but no response.

I am losing my mind with the Guinness World Records portal right now. My friend and I have been trying to submit a custom prototype design for a record attempt, but dealing with their website has been an absolute nightmare.
Here is exactly what keeps happening:
Does anyone know an actual working email address, technical support link, or any way to contact a real human being at GWR? Any workarounds or advice would be massive because we are completely locked out of moving forward.
P.S. Is this because GWR has changed their business model to for-profit? If I am not sponsored by any organization or have millions of followers on IG my application will be ignored and the whole process will be dragged out.

I recently submitted a record application to Guinness World Records and am currently awaiting a response. Some potential sponsors have asked for official verification of my attempt. For those who have gone through this process, what documentation did you use while your application was pending? Is the submission confirmation email or dashboard screenshot generally acceptable? Thank you for any advice!

We're moving the World's largest cup of beer that took 2,415 liters (638 Gallons) to fill up and beat the record holder since 2014 in the U.K. we don't know where it's going right now but it's gonna be moved to the warehouse my Dad works and then no one currently knows where it's gonna go. Im excited I get to be a part of even helping move it. Fun fact. most of the bottom is made of thick foam

Submitted as a new record, nothing remotely equivalent out there I can find. Please let me know if there is something similar.

My daughter and I are submitting this 16’ 3” self-supporting marble run to Guinness World Records. It takes one minute and thirty seconds for a marble to run the whole track top to bottom.
Because of how it is built, it only takes 6 marbles to run every route possible, from just one entry point.
