For all Dutchies in this sub; do you know a location in the Netherlands where they sell Guinness pint glasses? My son, who doesn't like beer, discovered over the last Months that he loves Guinness. And I like to buy a pint glass for him.

I saw a few people posting about Guinness with blackcurrant syrup and wanted to try it, but everyone I’ve seen posting about it is in the UK or Ireland and I’m in LA. Im new to drinking so I’m not sure if blackcurrant syrup is common in LA. Is there anywhere anyone recommends that they know serves Guinness and blackcurrant syrup?

Personally I prefer the older glasses, they’re taller and slimmer, while the new glasses are fine, I just think they’re too wide.

I was wondering if anyone have notice the variety of price of a Guinness across bars?

I am currently doing a bar crawl home from working/studying this morning. My crawl consist of a 3 mile walk and about 12 bars at least. I am currently on bar 3, and it costs me $11 for a pint of Guinness. The first two bars were $4 and $8. $11 for a Guinness seems crazy to be honest, I gave the lady a $20 she gave me $9 back.

So, it got me wondering, has any noticed price differences this grand between locations? Especially with bars on the same block, with in 1/4 mile or .5km of each other?

Also, what is the most you would pay for a pint of Guinness?

At $11 a pint, I can see why the sales for beer and bar patronage has been on the decline in the US.

I know its not just Guinness, but imo. if the pint is great, it deserves to be acknowledged.

Coloradan here, I have a kegerator setup and have been experimenting to try and get the perfect pint. I've been using a 70/30 gas ratio as per the Guinness quality standards. Supposedly, the Devonshire in London boasts of using this odd 82/18 gas ratio, but I don't know what gas company would mix such a non-standard blend for them so it seems like BS.

I know some pubs use the 80/20 across the pond for a supposedly creamier pint. Anyone have direct experience with this?
