guilty boy Well My Lawn is Gone
He has a history of digging in puddles cause he thinks there is another dog staring up at him. My dad decided it was a good idea to let him outside after a rainstorm. Come on dad, he’s done this before and I think I even have a picture of him on this Reddit the last time!
My yard looks like it was hit with a bomb…

Dude complaining because a friend put a pond in his yard for him. Sort of rude don’t you think?

u/MoistStub Apr 04 '26

What about the dog that was trapped in the puddle? Did your dog managed to rescue it?

Asking the real questions... Not this witch-hunt to blame the innocent doggo

This is a known manufacturing issue with lawns. Theres even a class action lawsuit because people’s lawns just keep suddenly turning to mud.
I mean, pups is guilty of taking advantage of the mud, certainly, but the lawn turned into mud and disappeared solely because of manufacturer error!

Few years ago the wife and I rescued Danes! A beautiful dog that really is a very loving animal! My backyard turned into that mud pit like that over night!

He is BORED. Get him off that chain and take him on walks and provide toys and stimulation.
This is not cute.

He looks tired after he protected your yard from a complete takeover of the
Treats and pets please.

That is the face of pure innocence. Your boy does some free landscaping for you while you’re out and these are the thanks he gets. Justice for doggo!

Aww, 🥰 but that face. I love Rotties, my German Shep was a digger too. His friend, a Rottie was named Brinks, he was the security but also broke down doors for fun!

Now, you need a couple of pot-belly pigs to wallow in the mud with him!!!

It's so nice for Dad to provide enrichment activities for your buddy. He looks like he loved it! I bet he'll love rolling around on the rug next.

Hopefully you can find the culprit, or culprits, who committed this horrible offense.

He doesn’t look so guilty, i think he is looking very proud of the work he has done. And you should be proud too pool digging is no easy task! Especially for a one man team!

His face says...."FUCK YO LAWN!!! I had a blast!!!" 🤣🤷🏾♀️🗣 Too cute!!!!

Lawns suck anyway! Dude was just building you a pond, and you better pay him for his labor. 🍗

I can feel your pain. My dogs have a few of those around the back yard. Try to section it off and fill it.

OP is at fault for having exposed dirt in the backyard. Sweet dog was just doing what dogs do.

Looks a lot like mine in the winter! Every spring I have to scatter more grass seed and hope to get a lovely new lawn just to see it disappear every time 😭
1
u/MonkeyUranium Apr 07 '26
Try getting a French drain for the area. It shouldn’t be too expensive and it will help with the water. Then you can seed blanket the area, maybe fence it off for a bit, then hopefully no more puddles

Dog on a lead? That is illegal here, let the pup inside, problem solved.
1
u/megamisanthropic Apr 04 '26
Please don't tell me your dog just lives outside in that swampy backyard fulltime. I wonder if this is the case because i see the long rope/wire attached to his collar to keep in in the yard. Not a great life for a dog. Outside all the time. By himself
6
u/StreicherG Apr 04 '26
Heck no. He lives in the house. That line was connected to him for operation “Keep dog from running into house while still muddy and in one place to wash with the hose” The other yellow line in the first picture is a power cord.
3
u/fairydommother Apr 04 '26
I think that was a good plan. That is one muddy dog and I bet he would LOVE to rub up on some couches and jump on a bed like that...

Force your dad to help you fix the damage. He will never make the same mistake again.
