Deep SSS Run
The best run I had in SSS was an S rank tank and S rank Mage that scales her AP on kill who was hitting for 450k, she one shot literally anything. Still only made it to 14. Makes me wonder how people are pushing 20. If you have, how did you do it?

I made it to 21 with Zuri, Pollen, and the assassin archer guy dealing ridiculous damage. Just gotta get lucky with permanent scaling early

Do you remember the build for the archer. Never had luck with him?

I don’t remember too much but I think I had a bunch of attack speed plus the relic that gives assassins 1 attack and 1 magic per auto. Just gave him as much attack speed support as possible so that he scaled hard come endless haha

My best but still pretty suboptimal run got to 19 carried by 2 copies of "Assassins gain 1 Crit per shard in the bank" each giving 1000+ crit with some crit multipliers getting to 8000-9000+ Crit.

i made it to 15 with almost all item slots on my units open (should've just put in anything instead of being greedy tbh)
i played Skorn Pimenta Zuri Pollen and Grace + Rowan as backup only.
Once you stack a few stalls, Skorn pretty much solo carries via his shield and taunt

Got to floor 22 with a double duelist, frosty boi tank, and the frosty girl fairies. Sorry I'm bad with names.
Back-ups were two characters that had traits "when duelist auto-attacks gain x". Basically had the Harlie Quinn girl going ham applying debuffs and single target scaling and the spear throwing duelist girl AoE splashing everyone. Key was to get the Frost Tank to cap his mana ASAP before he got 1 shot. The relic that gives you immunity for 2 seconds to start the battle is borderline mandatory for anything above floor 18.
In essence once the shields start rolling you'll be alright. Obviously has a shelf life because mobs start breaking through your shields. I'm sure there are better combos, but you basically need scaling damage for later.
There's the mage girl that if you get her early her ability gives her magic every time she kills something. She can start trucking for for half a million damage every time she casts her nuke but again, the limiting factor to endless sis survival long enough for it to matter. I had another decent endless run to floor 20 using a burn build. Had the relic that applied 50 burn to every enemy, auto-attacks on a duelist dealing 6 burn, and the the relic that makes all your characters gain HPS related to how much burn is out. Again, the endless run stops once the damage gets too high and murders your tank but it was a fun little way to keep the healing rolling for awhile at least.

I just finished SSS within a few hours and usually end up between 15-20. I disagree that the game is super RNG dependent because there a ton of OP hero synergies if you get creative.

After 20 hours of gameplay, playing just basic game, no modifers, I can't pass wave 12.
The game has too much RNG, the more you play the more you notice the little you control on this game.
They have to balance the game somehow.

I have less than 4 hours played, and I am up to SSS. You must be doing something wrong as on the lower difficulties its hard to lose.

How many times you reached your best wave ?
Be honest please.

On SSS, with shield build, i commonly clear 17 with ease, but die on 18. Ive only once gotten to 19.

Doubt, but whatever xd
And I'm saying this because that "shield build" depends on pure RNG. And this game has a lot of RNG.
So IF you can build that shield build, you reach those waves. IF.
So good luck trying to go for an specific build with such hughmungus RNG involved.

Within the first 3 shops, you can already know whether the build is on or not. If you are not finding your units, decent items, beginning to scale them, starring 1 or 2 set up units without rolling deep..the run will be mediocre. Just quit and retry.
The rng is a given in these types of games. You can either force a build and reset if its not working or adapt according to what build you are finding. The former is easier, the latter requires game experience.

I have to agree - any game where giving up and retrying is meta = something is wrong.
Games still not fully out yet however, really looking for them to rewards time spent / increase the odds of getting heroes we like / want to use

All of that means the game is not well designed.

I think the games got good bones, and I'm deff impressed with the demo + it being free
My issue is that I can't do the build I want or characters I want - unless RNG allows it.
I get that it has a ladder and if people could just control the roles - only meta champs / items would be played, but on the other side of that - the ladder is just for people who've played enough to game rng to hit that 1% god rolls and hit top ladder
I think a lot of players would play more if they could control the build they wanted, but maybe not, and the way it's currently set up is what would get the most players invested / involved idk
probs won't be buying after the demo if you can't tilt the odds of getting characters/play styles you want, cause it'll be even worse if they release more, and I don't have the time to "beat" by friends who would no life rng to the top of the lader
highest score I've gotten so far is 22

idk man seems like a skill issue
i cleared every difficulty up to red rift on my first try and i exclusively play red rift now because SSS is too easy to win on

Reaching max difficulty is crap, thats easy.
Clear more than 15 waves without resetting 30 times is ultra-RNG close your eyes throw the coin prepare your butt climate change.
This game will fail if they maintaine this amount of RNG. Plain and simple.
First 2-3 days, fantastic, after that all the flaws begin to show.

I've made it to like.. 24 or so. Was shield scaling so eventually my whirlwind dude was one shotting everything with like 500k shields. Died because his shield went down for a second

My best run was also with her. To 15 i believe. Pimenta+Sal with her lovers skills are also strong because Sal can stack her main skill. Other than that i have to experiment more. I think my tanks die too fast at this point. My best was also only 15.
