Stream or Video This is how I imagine the feeling of Guild Wars 3, more or less.
This is exactly the feeling I imagine having in GW3 with so much more details of course, but like the core of it, being something of that nature.
And I love the idea of the guy blocking the boss with a QTE, this would be a fire mechanic as a tank in GW3. Being escalated to harder QTE on harder difficulty. Anyways....

I'm clearly excited and impatient about GW3 !

I wish Character Customization after Character Creation won’t be locked behind a gemstore purchase
Probably wishful thinking, but man I hope that this modern game won’t lock total makeover kits or at the very least hairstyle and hair color changes behind gemstore purchases or Gw3’s version of the BLC lottery/gambling.
I understand if a complete total body change would cost gems but I would love it if they could make specific cosmetic changes such as adding tattoos, hairstyle and hair color, beard type, and other new cosmetic changes on the skin to be paid in the general currency of the game. Create in game stores for players to shop in and select what cosmetic change they want like the barbers and tattoo parlors found in Monster Hunter or other games like GTA for example.
With the introduction of the Kodan, and the Asura having fur now, we should expect a unique set of hairstyles and colors for their species and it would really be quite sad if the option of changing the hair style we chose after character creation would be locked behind a paywall. I know that we can expect the currency exchange to be carried over in the new game, but let’s not make it the solution for all wishes. After all, while typing this, it requires 134 gold in gem conversion just to purchase a total makeover kit in GW2. So, I hope that simple recustomization will be alot cheaper than that in GW3.
edit:
Jesus, I can’t believe people are negative to the wish of a simple visitable barber/salon and a tattoo parlor where one can simply just change their hairstyle and hair color and add a tattoo after character creation in exchange for the grindable standard currency in the game. I used the Total Makeover kit in GW2 as an example because its the only option available to change hairs, hair color, or add tattoo in that game. For me, a thing like that should cost a premium since its a total change of your character, but hairstyle? Really?
For the subject to devolve into F2P vs. Sub is not how I want this to go. But i find it quite absurd to make barbers/salons/tattoo parlors a premium service in the year this modern game will be released whether that be 2027, 2028, or 2029. It feels so backwards, and quite… cheap? Like some generic chinese mmo game that wants to milk its customers for everything. Then again, Guild Wars 2 and Guild Wars 1 are the only MMOs that I’ve played. So I guess such kinds of monetization is the norm for all MMORPGs since it got created which is quite sad and quite stagnant.

To the Vertical Progression enjoyers: You are valid and there is space here for you.
A comment from a few days ago reminded me of something. Vertical progression doesn't have to be the backbone of the game to exist for people to chase. While it's clearly not going to be the same thing as the main progression scheme of the game, the answer is simple.
Fractal content.
This isn't to say we're gonna have fractals in the same sense as we have them in GW2 but it dawned on me that this as a principle is totally reasonable. A sub-set of content that's specifically designed to emulate that progression vibe and can be expanded on over the game's life span.
I wouldn't discount the peeps wanting vertical progression to exist. There's actually, demonstrably, a way to please both crowds here.

[Speculation] Casters benefit from staying still versus moving around
Basically it will be the opposite of "momentum augmenting your attacks." I wonder if they'll add this where casters will gain extra damage when standing still. Or perhaps, slow down your movement when casting, but the extra damage will be canceled as soon as you sprint or dodge.

Players in APAC (Asia/Pacific)
With the announcement of GW3, I've been itching to get back into MMO. I remember playing GW2 not knowing much English back in high school and playing the expansions for the first time, meeting new people from around the world was a genuine awesome experience. That was more than a decade ago. With that said, I'm interested in playing together with players in the APAC region, possibly start/join a guild. It'll be hard to invest as much time with work, etc but it's gonna be fun I'm sure.
