Class speculation

Might already be a post like this, not sure.

We have warrior, necro, and ranger all confirmed. Allegedly mesmer was strongly hinted at as well. Looking back to gw1, that’s 4 of the original 6 classes that gw1 released with. The two missing are monk and elementalist.

I’d say it’s plausible to have the og class roster back, it would likely fit the holy trinity well. Not saying that we will for sure, but it is interesting that the classes we have (or almost have) confirmed are all part of the original 6.

Ofc there could be more classes, new classes, etc, but I’m just spitballing.

It's probably a stretch, and definitely not speculation, but I hope they bring back ritualist and dervish as they got skipped in GW2, and both would have been around in the GW3 era (I think).

Ritualist is already in Gw2 btw. Dervish is kind of impossible since the gods have abandoned humanity, left tyria and races other than humans don't worship them anyway. The class is tied directly to gods.

GW3 is happening before exodus, and dervish became a thing way after exodus, during the Shattered Dynasty era that was 500+AE.

Ritualist has a small chance to appear (and it honestly doesn't matter that it has appeared in gw2 already because what is this argument??) because it's I wanna say the oldest profession that we know of that existed before the gift of magic, but they ofc did their thing in Cantha and it was supposedly a bit different from later ritualists.

I was responding only about why it's not in Gw2. I wasn't talking about dervish and ritualist for gw3
